Here's the thing, and that is I am a friend of the engineer who I bowl with on Tuesdays. He invited me to ride and I took advantage of it. I was not there to do sound horns, or ring bells. And thanks for all comments.

I like how the lights in the distance grow closer slowly.

DE30AC which is a 3000hp passenger engine built by EMD in 1997 with a 710 AC traction engine with the length being 75 ft which is longer than the Amtrak P40/42.

If you can, it is a very nice scenic branch to ride on!
@NEFeldman15 жыл бұрын
Yes which is called the "Pepsi Can" (original scheme,), or called P32BWH which is basically a GE freight engine with HEP equipment installed! Then you have the P32ACDM which is the look a like of the P40/42, but has major differences within, and around the engine!

How did you get in the cab? Do you work for LIRR?
@NEFeldman6 ай бұрын
I don’t work for the LIRR. This video was done in 2007 well before the FRA restricted the operations to people only authorized to run the trains, trainees, conductors, supervisors, etc.

How many cars it had and did that have another double engine
@NEFeldman5 жыл бұрын
Gregory Taylor the train I was on had 6 cars with an engine on each end. At that time they were short cab cars, so that train had the two engines.
@gregorytaylor2405 жыл бұрын
@@NEFeldman two double engines nice hey you should record a full video of you riding that train next time
@James_lirr-ict_catches Жыл бұрын

MN is a little better, but where can you get such a nice ride from the locomotive? Does MN do it?
@evangouldtransit2 жыл бұрын
MN allows engineers and crew, new or old, to pick their hours. LIRR, however, lower status engineers & crews are on call 24/7 to run a train.

It's from 2007, so obviously it isn't proper quality like in today's time.
