On-call at a startup and I hate it 😭 Prev interns told as this is a part time job, you won't have to do much, just 4-5hrs work per week that you only have to display in the weekly review meet. Last week I had 4meets with the client, each one having a deliverable to display, the 4th meet kept being postponed and eventually cancelled (after I was on my setup for 6hours) This week they have designated (not asked) me for 3 on-call days, which basically is 9-5 along with the client and he'll drop in every 30-or so mins for a quick update. Sure this helps a lot of work to be done, but I don't think I'm paid well for this. 25kpm is utterly undercompensation :/ Even raised this issue with my manager, he says ki client has demanded so you be present Without any mention of the pay n all. Frustating to be exploited lol
