ON: Cloudnova review. Should you buy them?

I just ordered some pair but after reading some comments here I'm anxious about comfortability. I'll try them real quick and if not comfy right away I'm shipping them back, it's true they don't come cheap but they look nice.

It's true that there's a thing inside the shoe that kinda tighten your foot, It's like it applies a pressure on the top of the middle your foot so it might be real annoying if you have really fat feet. For me it's the left foot only, the right one is okay and I was thinking about cutting the part with scissors since it's inside the shoe so not visible. As someone said, with time it will probably loosen a bit too.

I have a pair of the on cloud 5 and can say they are a very good fit and extremely comfortable, given I’m an avid Nike wearer these trump my favourite Nikes for comfort and fit . From a price point I think trainers generally are expensive today definitely will be trying the cloudnova next

I am a big ON fan boy I own a number of pairs including cloudnova in all black They do get commented on when I am wearing them for their quirky looks and I do love being a little different than everybody else. They squeak when I walk also but this isn't a deal breaker... however that band across the foot is so tight. If I wear anything other than a really thin sock they constrict my foot so much they become painful if worn for more than an hour or two. Such a shame as I was so excited when I got this shoe that it would be the ultimate in comfort. Not terrible, just not what they should be. I own a few pairs on on cloud dip and cloud swifts. Both far superior in comfort than these. Out of all the shoes the cloud swifts are the most comfortable , roomy , breathable and the Helion foam is more responsive and cushioned even for just wearing as a lifestyle shoe.

After a few months of wearing the band did loosen a bit. But hand on heart, my original clouds still remain more comfortable than these and cost a good 40 euro less.

I tried them in the same colour because I love the style. IMO it is uncomfortable to me because the shoe tongue is outside of the shoe itself. So this creates a point of pressure on the top of my foot and at the end of the day it's really not OK! I would say the height of the shoes from the inner sole to the tongue is not large enough to be really comfortable. So I decide to get refund! Nevertheless I still find these a piece of beauty. The colour and the lines are great! but it's a design issue in my opinion.

I bought these shoes this model is supposed to be true to size. I went up half a size and sure enough, there was loads of room around my toes however, that panel over the top of my foot - excruciatingly tight. It bruised my foot and I can not wear the shoe at all. I am waiting on ON Running warranty department to get back to me as this must be a manufacturing defect. I don't even have wide feet. I'd stay away from this shoe unless you have super skinny feet. It's definitely not an all day shoe.

They definitely don’t run true to size. I’ve had to size up one size for clouds and cloud novas. And if you get anything waterproof you have to size up a size from your normal on size! So for a waterproof shoe I’m wearing a UK 12 (eu 47) when I normally wear a UK 10 (EU 44.5) it’s crazy. But I’ll stand by their customer service. It’s been exemplary.

I tried these this weekend. Planning to buy that's how I came to this video. And even during the ten Minutes that I wore them i felt the same the toes were too free at the front whereas the strap or mid-tounge band was tight with my actual size 9. So I think I have to think again.

this is the most uncomfortable shoe I've ever worn.. i sized up and the band across the top still kills the midfoot .. kind of an insult to Swiss engineering in my opinion
