What a charming location the chateau is in. Hats off to Bill and Vivian. How different everything will look when spring and summer finally arrive. I wonder whether there is a small hobby farm already? Certainly some chickens laying eggs would be wonderful plus some geese and ducks. It looks like a very happy place. I hope your stay will become much longer than three weeks dear Selmar. The small chapel and large indoor hall look wonderful. Diesel must be very happy with so much land to explore too.

Morning Selmar, such a beautiful chateau! The grounds are lovely, always maintenance to be done with the enormous properties, but look at the advantages. I prefer the mountains, They seem to bring tranquillity to an area. The coast is beautiful as it is all part of Creation, but we all have different preferences! It seems you had a very peaceful night and Diesel has his little niche in the room. Yes, the people, Bill do seem very friendly, and I wish them well in their business venture. OH MY GOD the bathroom is gorgeous! I could hear it in your voice that you were super happy about that. Diesel looks settled. What an ideal Chateau how dreamy! It is like a fairytale village.The owner seems soo sweet aw. The roof had what looks like dragon's scales stunning. Good editing Selmar ! I work in Tv/Film I can tell the edits are getting faster and there are fewer still photos which is good. Also you are talking more, I love hearing talk and your take on structural design, why they would create certain designs in your own words. What is really great is that you are in a wonderful position to go to these places, tell us more of the history of the structures and decor even while you are restoring these historic Chateaus. A "Behind the Chateau". Feel free to use that title 😊😘 !

Hi Love film editing too and did a course ages ago at arts uni, Avid. What is the modern way now for vlogs what editing tool is best ? Its great the editing it really makes you feel you are there ☺️ yay

@@isabelmonday The one I use the most is the Red editing suite. I don't have to edit often as I work mostly in production now. Honestly the best one to use is the one that is easiest for you to use and is functionally up to date. You really do not need the bells and whistles. People get so hung up on labels. If you can get an editing suite that you do not need a subscription service for and you actually own the editing software you are golden. The current trend is that we will "Own nothing and be happy" which means companies are moving toward that structure where you could pay 500+ for an editing suite then say nope you now you no longer own the software and you have to upgrade to still use our service. Hard copy software is the way to go. I hope that helps?

This not to own just rent and they can take it away. Remember when Virus protector came on a permanent disk now its pay yearly 49£ . Gosh what an amazing surprise. This is a chateau that Peter and I looked at a few years ago, when we had our holiday home just a couple of miles down the road in Argentat!!!!!!! It use to be a convent school. When we saw it, it had a wooden tower between the chateau and the chapel. It needed so much work doing. It was too large a job for us. Lovely place, lovely energy. Perfect for a medieval fete. I will pm you with details of a local friend who has a medieval knights templar group, really lovely people. So pleased for you. xxx

La Correze is so beautiful! One of the last wild places in France! I so hope things work out for you and Tatyana there, even if it is not quite the way you imagined it! Dreams evolve with reality, the hard part is often evolving with those dreams to make them real! The potential ballroom is lovely, the flat meadows below the chateau would be great for a festival, especially with the little village next to the chateau! Potential abounds!!

What an absolutely stunning place! The chateau, outbuildings, land and views are all gorgeous. Bill and Vivian have done a wonderful job of restoring and caring for their home. What wonderful hospitality, too. Such a lovely room and bathroom for you and Diesel. They provided for your every need. The wooden floor in that room is perfect for dancing. Bill was so friendly, and I look forward to getting to know him and Vivian better. I am looking forward to seeing the inside of the chateau and learning about its history. This is lovely and it is lovely f them to give you this large bedroom and even with a TV for you and Diesel! He loves knowing you are around and he is not left alone too long and he has a nice pillow to sleep on, and he looks to me like he is not doing as well. Good to not over do,.maybe a litle bike ride and just not much walking at all. He seems very tired right now. Maybe missing Tatyanaa? But he can see her on video I think he is fine just not overdoing and he is getting so much older now. Love how now you may even had an area to teach dancing! The Tango and the music and such lovely Midevil festivals can begin after a time when people have places to stay. Bill and Viveieen are such grand people! They seem to have maybe been teachers? They are so brilliant with history and older homes and how to do them over! I think you have maybe truly found the right place for you, Selmar, Diesel, and Tatyana that one day will follow. I hope she has someone to buy or rent her home and take care of her geese properly, also. !!?? Must check on people who rent places though. They can destroy a home. So must be checked out or by friends/neighbors at times. This region will be even warmer during the Winter months than where Chateau de LaLande is even so that is nice though! Would be better maybe for Diesel and any arthritis he may have or is getting now? Shorter Winters are good and even be a bit warmer is nicer yet!, So a good area. I think. Nice walking paths for sure! Thank you for showing us around!

Such a marvelous Chateau and grounds. Thank you, I watched the Vlog several times just for its peacefulness. I love the beautiful mountains and have attended many Mountain Dance and Renaissance events in NY and NC when I was younger. I also was the vice president of a Contra Dance group for several years, so see the potential for dance weekends and events. For high class weddings on a budget, we used silk parachutes for the ceiling and white curtains everywhere, candlelight and flower ropes. Rustic is the style of Contra Dancing but I understand why Tango has its higher tone of ambiance. I can't wait for the tour of the Chateau and all the answers to the questions I have.🤣❤🌺🌹
