What about if we add a bunch of keywords that surfur seo recommends in a really small size, color same as the background color, and make it un copy able. We can trick a machine even hiding it.

Hey Adam! Great video as ALWAYS. Question: Is it worth writing content for keywords that contain the word "free"? I see it has high volume and low competition in multiple topics, but it may be "low quality traffic". Any advice?

It's all about commercial intent. Obviously free implies that the searcher's intent is to find something for free. Any web page you optimize for SEO you'll want their intent to make a purchase and buy something. Remember Adam's overall point of SEO is to create a blog that is the middle man between a customer and a company. Since you want your blog to be positioned in the middle so you get affiliate commissions you'll want to optimize for words like "best reputation management", not "free reputation management' since you won't be able to make money from that.

I would argue most people aren't writing about "free" stuff. But I think that's an error. The TRUE purpose of a blog is to "serve your audience". If people in the niche are looking or free stuff, can you educate them on what is the best free one and also demonstrate why paying a little is worth it? If they are looking for something free maybe they don't know what else is out there and are afraid of "losing" money by buying something that doesn't work for them. Are the "free" items the beginner stage of buying for them. If it's an entry point into the niche, having them on your site is valuable. I wouldn't dismiss "free" keywords. Just serve them correctly. I also wouldn't make my entire blog about free stuff obviously. But again, if your market is searching for these keywords, help them.

I have a question and was wondering if you're creating a "Transactional List Post" for example: your 17+ best ecommerce platforms post, if you start out with just 5 companies and add more over time do you keep changing the title and would that mean you'd have to change the URL as well? I don’t include the number in the URL’s. I change the title tag when I add more content to reflect how many products I have listed.
