Haha, loved the jaw drops and your facial expressions, excellent reaction, that was 'so good' (literally since that is what iine means - think thumbs up emoji👍) and you sort of spotted the trap of calling it Line - most people fall into that - it is iine (ee-neh). It was only the second song they released, that was very early in 2012 (it was their third song but IDZ, which was the second song they performed, was released later). They were clearly establishing very early on that all the usual rules of what you can do, what genres you can mix into one song and so on were not going to apply to BABYMETAL. What they did here was they tore up all the rules on how music must fit into one of the many imaginary boxes people have in their minds, then they wrote their own rules ... and they tore them up as well. If they want to have a song with EDM, hip hop, death metal and more EDM to finish then that's what they will do. So EDM, a bit of hip hop/rap and then that drop into death metal (they did warn you - "Yo yo yo yo. Microphone check, one two one two. Are you ready to mosh? Kitsune da o!")🦊 Quite possibly the best drop into death metal from hip hop ever - and then back to the EDM to finish. As the song title suggests - it is so good. In most live versions they swapped the rap and it became a call and response (they kept it in some live performances of course - "BABYMETAL in da house!") ... but that drop is still there. Su only pretends with screams like that, it wasn't her. Also the growling vocals in the death metal part are explaining the hand sign is not the traditional metal devil horns or maloik,🤘it is the kitsune (fox).🦊

Iine! Is quite an cool song in Babymetal's history because they only ever performed it as a trio, so after Yui stopped performing the song basically went out of their set list for 6 years. Then the first show after Momo was confirmed as the new third member they performed it again (which is the 2023 live version people have recommended), as if to emphasise that she had made the band complete again.

_Kitsune da O!_ 🦊🤘🔥 You did not go wrong choosing this MV version, in fact is the version many of us always recommend instead of any live version, but you did fall wrong in the common mistake almost everyone does with this title and writing or saying "Line" lol Iine! is one of the early songs, 2nd single released, making us clear they don't wanna be pigeonholed. It's a super fun party night song with their besties and you got everything you need on this song, from de "Para Para" style, eurobeat and MoiMoi chemistry (Moimoi is Yui and Moa together doing their thing), to a hip hop with 90's look and heavy metal with death growls breakdown, is a beautiful crazy dream and is "Iine" = 👍 Note: this is one of the few songs I always recommend to watch the official MV first coz that brutal breakdown and the visual hits harder. Megitsune, Doki Doki Morning and Karate official MV are another worth to react the MV for first time watching. Song was part of a single and first collaboration with the band Kiba Of Akiba, they made a cover of one song called "Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai" (the only cover they played several times at live concerts before 2014) and Kiba Of Akiba did Doki Doki Morning, an interesting upbeat tempo version. Except for certain songs like Headbanger!! and IDZ, SuMetal, or any of the girls, doesn't shout those parts you heard during live performance, is always a backing track, same for the growling except for Distortion after 2019, that got collaboration growling of Alissa White-Gluz from Arch Enemy band, also none of the Kami Band do growling or any voices on any song. MomoMetal, the new official member also did some growling lines in the live version of METALI!! as well RATATATA official MV. The live version certainly is a blast and you'll see some difference on dance choreography, live at Budokan 2014 is a nice choice to enjoy the original trio once again. Last year they brought back this hit live at PIA Arena MM in Yokohama and later at the Asian/Australian Tour after almost 6 years without playing when YuiMetal left the group (btw yesterday was her 25th birthday), we'll see in future shows but like always OTFGK. (Only The Fox God Knows). That ludicrous hip hop breakdown always get everyone lol. If you wanna enjoy something to honor YuiMetal's birthday and upcoming MoaMetal's birthday in July 4th: - Chokotto Love live at Legend 1999 in 2013 (YuiMetal solo). - Love Machine live at Legend 1999 (MoaMetal solo. Nice reaction. This song went to show that Babymetal was going to break out of the any box. Mixing genres from the start. Ok in this case just cutting into the new genres. This song is very fun. Way back then Moa made up her own dance move. Where she would move like seaweed in the water. For a moment in the video, you can catch her doing it. When they were on a tv show or might have even been a radio show in Japan she did a demonstration. Moa is a character and it's one of the reasons we love her so much. I'm waiting for her to pull off doing Mario during a concert. Yes, Mario from the video game. She does a great imitation of him. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

At first I also watched the MV. But I love the song only after watching the Wembley version and the Budokan black night version. So I was confused when I saw most fans recommending Iine MV. But after seeing some reactions, I know the reason. Because everyone was waiting to see Reactor's facial expression when the scene changed from club to hip-hop. Then the facial expression would appear again and again as the scene changed from hip-hop to metal and metal to growl. Thanks for your great reaction.

Momo Metal is the only girl that can growl at Babymetal. It also indicates that Koba was correct by his rwference to Eskimo Callboy. He experimented in the beginning with growling voices, which also indicates that their Production Staff is obviously in an uproar as Momo indicated that the currently have multiple things in the Pipeline but "Only the FoxGod knows".

SU-METAL: As a matter of fact, Electric Callboy-san was one of the bands we referenced when making “Iine!”. Q: Oh, I didn’t know that! SU-METAL: We’ve actually been to their concerts before, and the music itself is of course a lot of fun, but their MC is also very funny, and they were quite good at hyping up the crowd. The single included BABYMETAL's cover of 'Kimi to Anime Ga Mitai', the Kiba of Akiba song 'Party @the BBS' and a Kiba of Akiba cover of the BABYMETAL song 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. A really strange cover of 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning'. : ) This is the probably the ultimate, "Do you like music genres? We smooshed them all into this one song for you." My favorite EDM Dance Rave electro HipHop Kawaii Metal song of all time. : ) BABYMETAL hadn't performed this one since they toured with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in April of 2017. It was great that they brought it back for the PIA ARENA MM concert last year and have performed it several times since then.

The first letter in the title is not an L. It is an uppercase i. I don't speak Japanese so I may be way off on this. My observation is that when Japanese is written out in Romaji or Romanized, the vowel sounds are always pronounced this same way. A is aah like a doctor is examining your throat. E is eh like in the word bet. I is eee like in the word see. O is oh like in the word so. U is ooo like in the word boo or is sometimes dropped and not pronounced at all. So, this song is eee-neh. They say it many times in the video. You seem to like Japanese rock music. I would recommend that you check out a group called Band-Maid. It consists of five extremely talented Japanese girls dressed in various styles of maid outfits. Go to their official KZbin channel and pick out any song because they are all good. They really shine while playing live though. I would suggest that you watch all of their live videos from the Yokohama Arena concert. There are three or four bangers and one tear jerker from that show and they are all great!

I always enjoy watching first time reactions to iine, yes it's ee neh; I believe the line mix up comes either from autocorrect capitalizing the first i to upper case I or spellchecking to Line, as you know the moment it goes to the rap section will be a massive omg jaw drop moment. I love the way they follow what looks like your younger sister and her friends trying to rap in her bedroom after school to a massive heavy drop. Only BabyMetal could carry off such a mix of different musical genres in one song. As a general rule live is better but there are some official videos which need to be seen first and this is one of those. Your plan of watching the MV then a live is a good one.

Momometal is the growler for Babymetal and she is Not in this. Yui-Metal was still with the band till 2018. Momoteal because permanent member is April 2023. It was Su-metal and Moametal only from part of 2018 till 2023 with avengers filling in for the interim.

It's an easy mistake for non-Japanese speakers to make, but the song is Iine! rather than Line! (pronounced Ee-nay!) - I think everyone when they first see it written down assumes it's all in lower case rather than a capital I! (writing this at the start so sorry if you did realise that before the end...)

In fact there is a rumor that this song was actually influenced by Eskimo Callboy (that was the name Electric Callboy had up until 2022). It sounds far fetched since EC was formed in 2010 (same year as Babymetal). They did do two shows in Japan in 2012. But this song came out in 2011 and was probably written in 2010-2011. So Koba could have heard EC but it seems a bit far fetched.

Apologies but it isn't "Line", it is "Iine!" (pronunced "E-nay") with two i's. It's a common mistake and snares just about everybody - it's the type font and the fact that people tend to forget that titles usually start with an upper case letter. 😉 4:55 "I feel like I'm not doing much in this reaction video" On the contrary, you are doing far too much - you have paused the video four times at this point and you're not even half-way through the MV. This music video is a mere four minutes and seventeen seconds long and the reaction video is a total of fifteen minutes and sixteen seconds - that's four minutes of MV and ELEVEN minutes pausing and chattering; almost three times the length of the MV!!! I had to stop at 6:46 and your sixth pause; I'm sorry to say that this will be the last time I'll view any of your reactions. Although you are rewinding after pausing, you are pausing far too much for my taste. I know that how you do things and it IS your channel so knock yourself out. To be quite honest, I think you talk talk talk just to be talking - more often than not you're simply repeating yourself. I only say this as constructive criticism; if it weren't for this foible, I have enjoyed watching your reactions but when you watch five or ten seconds of video, pause, and follow it with two or three minutes of chatter, well . . . . I like talking and it is my video at the end of the day, if you have a problem with it, don’t watch it, nobody’s asking you to. You are simply being rude at this point.
