@@Simona-Doina Okay! 😁 You're right, lyricists (sisters Marja Kärki and Bella Sorri) are amateurs both. But they have passion and really good perspective to musical pieces to catch the feeling of it! They've done lyrics to pieces that've been recorded and published. I value them and their skills very high! I am very lucky to have such friends to lean on with musical issues!! 😁😁

Yes, Simona, you're correct! This piece was indeed composed for Finnish Tango composition contest last year. Sadly it didn't reach top 12 ranking. The judges didn't give any further indication either of how high up in the ranking this piece achieved. But I agree that Esa did *really* marvellous job singing this and also Marja and Bella creating such a wonderful lyrics for the song! Esa told me that he had had some flue symptoms the night before he sang this and his voice had been quite terrible, he said. Knowing this, I really admire his dedication, professionalism (though he is amateur as I am too) and input on this piece! It is NOT singer-friendly in any aspect... there are quite big gaps between intervals and the melody goes quite high in some passages, which can be such a killer for a male voice. But he indeed gets through it with flying colors! :D May I ask how are you doing there, when the world is in such a mess as it is now?

@@nybondasto Thank you for the question. The medical crisis has not even passed, the economic crisis continues and now the humanitarian crisis. Like everyone else, we are worried about the war in Ukraine. I live in a city in the center-west of the country, no Ukrainian refugees have yet arrived here. We see the war on TV. We cling to what is stable in our lives: family, work, hobbies (if we have them). And, if we have the opportunity, we enjoy the little pleasures of life. But I can't generalize. For thousands of years, the world has been happy and sad.

@@nybondasto As for the song, I liked it, I find it interesting, complex. But I'm not a musicologist. If you have musical ideas, I think it's okay to use them. Maybe you should learn more about the art of music composition. I don't think you should give up composing if you feel you can compose music! Excuse me if I'm wrong trying to give you some advice! With the reservation that: "Man can advise another, but never himself", I wish you and your collaborators success!
