Short straws on who removes the roller belt 😜 Team SES on tour 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼tight squeeze on the hiab, never fun with hydraulic fluid. I remember a crane dumping all its load all over a site. Not a good day 😢 the shredder was quite clean apart from dust to work on.

It’s certainly been a good project to do. The HiAb team at Hamsons Haulage are brilliant. Mikey works with us lots so we do work well as a team. Thanks for commenting and watching.

*Good afternoon Gav and Team* 🙏 Wow....😳 The servicing of that processor is unreal .....mind you these machines work so hard and long. Removing the hammers was so interesting and I love how the replacement parts come "complete" and ready to fit. No messing ....but I bet the price reflects the quality of both parts and service. Thanks for the always *interesting insight* into mechanical engineering which I find *mesmerizing* at times. *Have a lovely bank holiday , positive vibes always* I thought I was doing ok *changing a compressor* on a pressure washer ...I'll get my coat 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Gary 🦉🦉🙏

Hi Gary - thanks for watching as always and taking time to comment, it is appreciated 😊 The machine when new would be circa £1M so the work we do while is an expense is still so much better than a replacement. Parts do cost a lot also though. It was a great team to have on site. Have a good week mate.

Very cool video, thanks. Heavy equipment service companies that fix large tracked machines use Electric Portable Hydraulic Track Pin Press Machines to place and remove track pins. Seems like what you might need in the future.

Another brilliant video Gavin very informative once again has you’ve done a lovely of repair work on the shredder could you built one for scratch do you only manufacture shredding machines or can you divert to other machinery if required well done to you all who worked on this project 👏look forward to next Sundays video.

Hi - thanks for commenting and watching. We actually don't build any shredders - we do build lots of other great machines - have a look at our website to see what we do and also check out other episodes. www.spitfire-engineering.co.uk

A better way to replace the slat floor, would of been to join the new floor to the old. Then pull through in one piece.
@spitfireengineeringservices
@spitfireengineeringservices 19 күн бұрын
Hi Phil - thanks for commenting and watching. We thought about that, but the logistics of pulling the new floor in whilst dealing with the floor coming out - would have made it really messy. At some point we would have had to disconnect the two and had no control of the descent of the old chain.

Not 100% sure as they were supplied by the manufacturer - but we would assume some form of hardox plate. Thanks for watching and commenting David.

@@spitfireengineeringservices we used diamond red for shot blast liners but it was a very hard plate to drill and than counter sink ,and once you started drilling you could not stop because it hardened as you drilled
