Hey Mike, just wanted to let you know that as a long time Jazzmaster player, your playing in these demos has been one of the biggest influences on my playing since I discovered you a year ago. You just have this wonderful and exciting approach to the instrument. All of my offsets also now play significantly better because of your very thorough setup videos! The best channel for offset players hands down, thanks for what you do.

I took my Jag to Mike and Mike's guitar bar after a local shop had butchered the setup multiple times. They nailed it and I can't play my other guitars now, they just don't play as tight. I'm so grateful that this knowledge is being taught and circulated. Thank you Mike! More setup videos, or just videos in general plz XD

I would also say, after 20 years of playing. I have never dared to take The neck of my guitar. Or Pull wires out and put everything back together. But since Ive Discoverd your Channel. Ive now become pretty good at doing good setups for my own offsets, switching pups etc. . So Thank you Sir!

Hey Mike! Super cool video as per the usual - longtime admirer here over in London, UK. I've actually got an Alternate Reality Maverick Dorado in Firemist Gold (I'd always wanted a Firemist Gold Fender), which I acquired for a very modest £450 + a trade in because most shops here in England haven't sold them. I love it so much, the only mod I did was add in an old wiggled in USA bigsby spring I had lying around which improved the Bigsby by far, which for a cheaper import Bigsby stays in tune like an absolute dream. I've read varying reviews based on the unusual choice of components for the reissue but guess i just got really lucky with mine! I have been pleasantly surprised by this model, it always demands compliments from people when I am out performing. Who ever thought a Maverick would be such a good session guitar?! Keep up the cool content! :)

A proper Custom/Maverick reissue would be a day one buy for me. About a decade ago, I had a chance to buy a '69--in sunburst with the "Custom" decal rather than "Maverick"--for around $2300. I passed on it. I regret that decision, especially seeing what they fetch now.

For my style of playing, I find that having a wound G string on a vibrato equipped guitar tends to stop the G constantly going out of tune. This is for both Bigsby and Fender vibratos.
