Punk and Northwest music historian David Ulysses Portnow takes a look at The Accüsed and The Accüsed A.D., including the band members and all of the other groups that they’ve been a part of. Also examined is the controversy over the use of the Accüsed name. Accüsed founding member Tom Niemeyer objects to Blaine Cook and Alex Sibbald naming their band The Accüsed A.D. Two camps have emerged on social media, one allied with Blaine and the other loyal to Tom. The ensuing debate has slightly tainted the legacy of The Accüsed as the founders of crossover. These interviews include an unbiased, journalistic exploration into the origins of the dispute, and the reasons for its persistence.
