See them waves that washes up to the east coast of Barbados OMG I just sit and marvel at the distance they've travel to get here to barbados all the way from west coast of Africa...
@JohnMooreBarbados3 жыл бұрын
It is soothing to sit back and watch the waves pounding against rocks while listening to the sound they make. They do travel a long distance yet remain powerful.

Nurse Guda, thanks for watching. For the background music I try to feature our local indigenous rhythm which unfortunately is no longer popular. It is called Spouge and was quite a force especially during the 1970s, but we dropped our local music to focus on other foreign genres, such a pity. In future videos I plan to use those that contain lyrics rather than instrumentals only.

Thank you John for another good video. I'm really enjoying your content. Do you know how Barclays Bank came to own the land in first place and was it was a park. I think it should of been named independence park as memory and homage to Barbados gaining independence.
@JohnMooreBarbados3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for coming back to watch more videos. I could not find any information as to how Barclays Bank came to own the 50 acre plot of land on the East Coast which is now a park. As a gift for independence, I agree, it could have been called Independence Park, but back in those colonial times maybe no one wanted to step on anyone's corns, so to speak.

Yes the limestone. Thanks for watching.
@journeyswithj2464 жыл бұрын
@@JohnMooreBarbados yeah it's not limestone. The rocks are called the Scotland Series. The East Coast is the only part of Barbados where little limestone cover is found, that is what makes it so special.
