Direct competition is the Ford CMax, Mazda5, and Toyota PriusV. But I suspect buyers will really compare this to small SUV/CUVs.

Damn the new Rondo's got style. Kia bring it back to the US.

It has heated rear seats.. but only in the most expensive version. The size of this car with higher seating position is ideal. I don't like the low seating sedans, and I find smaller SUV (CR-V, Rav4) too big. The Kia Rondo (Carens in Europe) is the perfect size. Just forget about the 7 places, and give the second row 'limo' kind of feet space.

Great review but you didn’t answer fuel economy or merging power. How does it handle in the snow?
