I find that the best way to deal with feeling bad if I have to leave the house is to make myself look as good as I possibly can. There is something almost psychosomatic about it for me. When I'm sick and wearing a nice outfit or my hair looks good, it doesn't take away that sickness but it makes me feel like something in my life is put together even if my health isn't entirely in line.

Wow, this was the first video I have watched of Ingrid's and… I think I just found my next favorite KZbinr! Every tip was very helpful for me (especially since I'm sick right now), and her personality is very real and down to earth unlike other ones I've loved in the past. I don't usually post comments but I'd like to say thank you Ingrid for being such an inspiration. I love watching your videos and the way you do your make-up, especially simple ones like this. I may not use this when I'm sick because as the majority of people here say, we would just stay at home, specifically bed, and not bother to put on anything on our face. This routine is everything! And very much appreciated bcuz I've been fighting cancer for the past 3 years and finally being in remission, my immune system is destroyed and I can get extremely easy and I do all the time and always affects me harder than normal sickness. But compared to chemotherapy it's just suckiness gross feeling and I know I'll eventually be better. I know if a simple video but it's the thought and care put into it means so much thank you! :)

I would never be able to wear mascara when I'm sick...talk about irritating my bleary eyes! If I absolutely MUST get dressed and wear makeup it's concealer, foundation/tinted moisturizer, lip balm and a tiny bit of blush to kee me from being pale but I leave my eyes completely alone!!

No I'd say that's accurate for my eyes. They get watery and dry and irritated. But my eyes in general tend to get watety when they're dry and tired and irritated.

Commenting right from my sick bed: I'm under a duvet, wearing my pajamas, fluffy socks and fleece gown, with its hood wrapped around my head as I feel cold all the time. A mug of hot tea with raspberry juice, cloves, ginger and lemon is beside my bed and I can hardly find the strength to type.
