American Cockroach (Periplaneta Americana) is so overrated in Singapore when usually whenever there's fumigation being done to HDB dustbin chutes the species that lives there is Brown Cockroach (Periplaneta Brunnea). They look alike but they are two different species. I hope pest control in Singapore show more bout Brown Cockroach instead. Usually they are the "HDB cockroaches".

Afraid the bed would get infested again. The bed is the most easy thing that can be saved.

Depending on where you live in the world you can kill bed bugs in the mattress by wrapping it in plastic before moving it and placing it direct sunlight for a few hours. Temps above 120F will kill them. The rest of the room/rooms will have to be thoroughly checked and possibly fumigated.
