Remember when it was under construction, how diamonds were made. Good run in mature trees forest. Glad you enjoyed it.

YES. this is a great track plan and well made! so many unique engines and cars running on the rails. it was different seeing the 70 running at you, over you running it! it sure a great place to be running the trains! take care Aaron.

Is CN 6153 the same locomotive featured in the video 'Poulin's Northern' having been rebuilt? Throttle handle looks very similar, but the actual engine looks, in my opinion, an awful lot nicer! Credit to whoever currently owns her, as well as the original builder!
@MillBrookRailroad11 ай бұрын
Yes, it is Poulin's Northern. Most of the stuff that was added every year was added because it was replacing something that stopped working. Rather than remove the old appliance, he just left it on the loco. So, the new owner rebuilt it and removed all the extra stuff that didn't work.

It certainly is.

nice steam engines there. great video, thanks.

That nighttime freight haul is just perfect, do you know if the lights on the loco are steam powered or separately powered?
@MillBrookRailroad Жыл бұрын
I think they're battery powered at the moment. He's been restoring the steam engine for the past couple years.

4:10 the iron hearse 🐴 But also I'm really waiting for some crative builder to create a model of a high speed train in this scale, so far nobody has tried it! Youd look real snazzy driving it laid back and streamlined (almost like our friend here)

Hi Aaron. definitely a CN bias at this railway.

CN had a big influence on New England railroading for much of the 20th century.

Why don’t you have some kind of a whistle or horn on your engine?
@MillBrookRailroad Жыл бұрын
I used to have a horn, but it sounded like a scalded goose. When it finally failed, I just left it out. It sounded so bad, it was an embarrassment to leave it in.

Is it wrong of me to want to drive an engine flat out around the tracks? It’s a childish dream of mine…
@MillBrookRailroad Жыл бұрын
By my observations, I don't think your dream is unique. It seems everyone likes to overspeed. Easier done on a private track.

@MillBrookRailroad Wow, that's quite a few tracks! But seeing that I like smack dab in the middle of Oklahoma, I don't see myself making it that direction anytime soon. Probably a couple more years down the road.
@robertr6153 Жыл бұрын
@@BriggsCanyon There are live steam groups in Oklahoma and Texas too. The Southwestern live steamers, Locomotive Operators of Central Oklahoma (LOCO)... Just google them. Warning to you if you are a newbie: There is a gauge divide in this country. Pennsylvania, New York, New England States and Eastern Canada all run 7 1/4" gauge tracks. Anywhere south or west of there all run 7 1/2" gauge tracks. In Oklahoma or Texas it will all be 7 1/2" gauge.

How long do your batteries last and can you recharge at the meets? 👍❤️📹🚂🚃🚃🤔😃
@MillBrookRailroad Жыл бұрын
The batteries last for at least a day of running off and on, and I can charge at most meets. They are lead acid batteries, by the way. Very old technology. Lithium Iron Phosphate prismatic cells would last much longer, but they are lighter, so I wouldn't have as much traction.
