On The Road! Yep! Back again! This week we're back at non league, we love it and not being able to travel too far out we nipped just over the bridge to Chatham Town for one of the best games of football we've seen in a while!

I have two theories about home teams conceding goals really fast - either the home team are too star-struck knowing Smiv and Charlie are in the house that they are prone to a defensive lapse at the start, OR they deliberately concede a goal right away to make the game more exciting and avoid a poor atmosphere rating with a 0-0 draw. Big brain strats.

Chatham are a fantastic club. They are very community based as well. Set up food donations during lockdown. Weekend just gone they allowed armed forces past and present in for free. Loved going down there when I couldn’t get to Gillingham. That terrace behind the goal was first open in the last year

Went to watch Chatham Town get promoted yesterday for the second season in a row. They deserve it. They've put a lot of money into the club and are reaping the rewards. 2k people there in their last two games. Bring on the isthmian Premier!

Great Vid Smiv. Brought back memories of the times when i lived in Medway, after leaving there in the 80s. Used to watch Chatham when the Gills were not at home. Liked the services there too. Some higher league teams can take a leaf out of their book. Glad Charlie enjoyed it too. Long before your time, but i saw Queen as back up band to Mott the Hoople in Chatham back in 1971 or 2
