Its not just NaCl it has many other minerals as well which are good for health, but the Khrewa or Himalayan Salt does't include iodine which is requirement for our body, we can't live without it, we only get iodine from Iodine Salt, Fish, Meat, Dairy & Eggs. So If u only eat Khrewa or Himalayan Salt then remember to eat foods that contain Iodine

Salt does have therapeutic values, being a dentist here in US I often tell my patients who have bleeding gums do rinse with salt water because it helps in retardation of bacterial growth which is one of the reasons for gum inflammation and it helps, a personal experience back home in Pakistan we do lit up a salt lamp especially during the times when mosquitoes are active and surprisingly they don’t come in the room where it is lit
