Will, that's certainly a very windy, blustery day and a very patient dog! Usefull comparison between the focal lengths. Thanks.

Thank you Stephen. The dog is 13 now, so nowadays is happy to sit and wait around, a few years back he would have vanished off somewhere else lol

If i may, i would suggest two things to improve this video: First one, some sort of wind cover for the mic is essential. 15 minutes of struggling to understand what you say is not nice. A lavalier mic with a dead cat would be great and very inexpensive. Second one, a second part to the video where you can show the pictures one after the other to compare them. That would be great to get a better idea of the effect of the different focal lengths. Other than that, great video, lovely pictures

Thank you for the advice Aarón, I have been using an external mic with dead cat the last few months and had much better results. I plan on doing another focal length comparison sometime as I have a bigger range available to me now, and will take advice ion board 👍

sooo windy, but well done on the awesome images. Hey Will what's with the Zee! Do some English schools teach Zee instead of Zed ?
@WillGudgeon3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Matt, As for the Zee and Zed I am sorry (hang head in shame) it is zed, but my children are young and learn words at school phonetically, and it sounds more like Ze, and now I end up doing it. Blame the school system nowadays lol :)

Hi, enjoyable video and some great images. Hoping to get one of these Zero Image 4x5's shortly. Subbed to the channel. BTW, that extension for the tripod head is a great idea. I've never seen those before and as you say it it keeps the tripod legs out of the frame with ultra wides like the 25mm equiv. pinhole. Can you tell me what it's called please? Thanks.

Hello, welcome along :) The Zero Image 4x5 is a lovely camera, may have to wait a while as from what i'm aware they are sold out...hopefully not too long before they are being built agin though. The head is a "Z Flex Tilt Head" really handy for either the wide zero image or getting the camera low.
@thewildgoose74673 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon Thanks. Yes they are sold out of everything in 4x5 :( I'm surprised they haven't organised a waiting list or some sort of notification by email so you'd know when they're back in stock, especially as they give no indication of the time frame involved? Thanks regarding the head, I'll check them out, and good luck with the channel :)

@Marcco Okay cool, I'll check them out. Thanks for the heads up

Hi Will, I recently subscribed. Have you ever used a 4x5 pinhole camera with a focal length of 100mm or greater? If so, what was your experience with it? Thanks.
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
Hi David, welcome along 😁 I have never myself used a pinhole camera with a 100mm focal, my Zero image 4x5 has a max of 75mm. If I was to get one, the best results I have seen are from the Harman Titan 4x5 which as standard come with a 75mm, but you can also buy a 110mm or 150mm focal adapter's. With the Zero image 4x5 you can buy extra adaptors to add to the focal length, may try it sometime. Hope that helps
