The awkward improvisation reminds me of when I was in Guys and Dolls in high school. For one scene a few actors were late getting to the stage, so the lead just said her line, hoping I would fill in. The line I should have said was “you can’t keep running from him forever”, but when Sarah said “It looks like we lost him,” I just replied “and half the band!”
