You are so welcome 🤗 this one took five hours to upload, because my data was slow, and that was with the booster you gifted me. If it had been a cloudy day my computer would have drained my battery but luckily the sun was out, and my solar panel kept up with it. People have no idea the things I have to deal with at times. 😝

Lovely scenery from peaks and valleys, the boulders look hard trail walking especially if icy

Yes, I saw one girl coming down with her boyfriend, she was in tennis shoes and he wasn't very happy with her. She was having a hard time of it indeed.

Many thanks, Roxy, for showing me (and all of your viewers) Wyoming scenery and panoramas that I'd never get to see otherwise. Truly magnificent. Out of gratitude, there's ko-fi headed your way. 👍❤☕

@AdventureNomadforNature Per your response to me on ko-fi: one for the in-Wyoming video, and one for the Paintbrush headband. 🙂🙂

wow! fantastic story, beautifully told! phenomenal videography, masterfully assembled. thank you, so much. welcome to age 62. i'm age 65. who knew we would be such survivors? -C

You make me blush again, thanks for the kind words. I've had more than my share of abuse in my life, and I am a survivor, one who tries to remember every day how lucky she is to be alive, quite literally. But I also realize that most people have survived something horrible, and therefore, we are all survivors together. I'm happy to be a survivor along side one of my kindest followers. 🙏

Yes, it just takes a bit of a perusal of the actuarial tables to realize how lucky we must be. and yes, you've had more than your share of unpleasant days, but then how many awesome days have you lived, that very few people could even imagine. we've got a lot of solid miles left on us yet. not until about age 77 for a man, and age 84 for a woman, does our generation grimly start to thin-out fast. really cold here in Austin this week. i hope that you're west and south of this brutal cold bubble. -C

Oh man, congratulations to you, though for making it to the top! I was there a few years ago, but there was still a lot of snow, even down at the lakes. I was also still recovering my strength after cancer treatment, so the best I could do was walk along part of Lake Mary. I'll go back some day - later in the season.

Despite being a hiker, I was really out of shape after working in a visitor center all summer, and the hikes being rather inaccessible in SFSP, but I was used to the altitude, which helped a lot. I hope you make it back. There are shorter ways to get up there. :-)

When you do a hike like this (icy) do you notify anyone where you are going?

I carry a SPOT rescue beacon with me, and send out a ✅ check in notice first to my emergency contacts. If it's a very remote trail, with little chance of seeing anyone, I sometimes trigger the tracking feature. I also pay for SOV (save our vehicle) so I can get satellite help and towed if need be.
