How are you all. I am so glad i came across this. i think i am in danger. I heard some people speaking profanities and I even tried to advice them not to. I now have these voices which i keep hearing saying the same profanities. Please pray for me I think Im under spiritual attack.

I am praying for you. Sing psalms and holy songs and pray that Jesus may deliver you from these evils! I’ve had a similar attack as you today. I prayed for deliverance, and while I was working I was singing holy songs. The voices that repeated the profanities were being pushed out of my mind by the holy things. It’s also important not to speak these profanities. Restrain them only to your head, and you will forget them quickly. For me today on my attacks it took a while, but I succeeded by the grace of God. May you be lead away from temptation and delivered from evil. Amen.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Amen. Get a Miraculous Medal and do the prayer for Our Lady of Miraculous Medal: "O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee." Ask for the intercession of saints known by their purity: St. Maria Goretti, St. Rose of Lima, St. Gemma Galgani, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Cecilia, St. Agnes, St. Philomena. Don't forget St. Benedict's Medal prayer and St. Michael's Archangel prayer "defend us in battle". Do the Sign of The Cross and make a prayer of your preference everytime a bad thought invades your mind. Ask for your Guardian Angel for help and pray his official prayer. Always pray when you wake up and before you go to sleep because it's VERY important. And don't forget to pray the Rosary everyday. Our Lady gave us the strongest weapon. We have to use it.

The Good Priest left out the beginning of the verse, which changes the meaning a bit. Verse 33 includes "He took him off by himself away for the crowd" Very important since it is stated twice that Jesus took him away : off by himself / away from the crowd. If you include this, the meaning becomes clear that it is the crowd who prevented the man from speaking and hearing plainly. How? Well, group think, going along with the crowd, the Emperor has no clothes scenario can be pretty bad. You need to rationalize for yourself. Take a look at the spreading of BLM mentality, you have previously rational people doing and saying insane things. Of course the priest's point of view about speaking immodestly is 100% correct.

The beginning of the Divine Praises during Benediction is a good admonishing reply to the use of God's name in vain: "Blessed be God. Blessed be His Holy Name." For impure speech, "Don't you believe sex is sacred?" Any other ideas?

This is a bit harsh about people hearing obscene words for the first time and dying. Remember Jesus is Merciful. I've had to tell people I do not like "dirty" jokes in high school. I correct others if they are obscene, sometimes they have just picked up that way of speaking and to me it is coarse and low class. I tell them the English language has many beautiful words, use them.

Andrew D, me too. I was disturbed. I thought that you’re in the state of mortal sin just by hearing even without fault of your own. Scary especially, we are swimming and breathing in immodesty around us these days. Its hard to avoid since it is present almost every where.

We may hear or see but let the Holy Spirit guide and lead us through our prayers and actions that these thoughts and deeds do not obsess our minds and hearts and make us impure.
