We stay in Kolkata, when this film Abhimaan was released I was 10yrs old and my sister was 12yrs old. One fine evening with our Mom and Dad when we went to see this movie at the counter last 3 tickets was available. My Mom said to take three tickets and my mom said to usher to allow her daughter and son to share one seat together. He agreed and we sat together and saw the movie, "Abhiman".

फ़िल्म सौदागर जिसमे पदमा खन्ना नूतन जी के साथ अमिताभ ने जो जीवांत अभिनय किया । उसी की टक्कर में कोई दूसरी फिल्म है तो वो फ़िल्म अभिमान है। सच पूछो तो अभिनय के अलावा दोनो फिल्मों के सशक्त गीतों ने इन दोनों फिल्मों में अदभुत अद्वितीय जान डाल दी। कोई भी इन दोनों फिल्मों को दुबारा बनाने की कोशिश भी करेगा तो असम्भव है। क्योंकि उस अभिनय , संगीत, गानों के शब्दों को दुबारा नही बना सकता। इतिहास के मील का पत्थर है ये दोनों फिल्में। मेँ जितना भी इनको देखता हूँ मेरी लालसा ओर बढ़ जाती है इनके अभिनय को देखने व गीतों को सुनने की।

Pandit Ravi Shankar aur unki pehli patni Annapurna devi ki life par loosely based hai. In real life Annapurna devi stopped doing concerts n started living in isolation, where Ravi Shankar married another very much younger woman, with whom they have daughter Anoushka. Ravi Shankar have had other illicit relationships as well. Annuapura devi was daughter of Ravi Shankar's guru Allaudin Khan, Annapurna devi was very talented surbahar player, Ravi Shankar used to get jealous of her talents, she used to get more attention than Ravi Shankar, which cause their divorce, and shankar took promise from Annapurna devi to not perform in public, and she agreed, also she completely broke because of untimely death of their only child Shubhendra Shankar.
