It’s not just the story in the MV-everything about it is incredible, from the song’s style to his consistently amazing vocals. His accomplishments since going solo are truly inspiring. This is definitely the cutest song of the year- but it’s also the catchiest hook of the year too! I’m going to be singing that chorus allll the time lol! Onew's voice reminds me so much of sunlight: warm and powerful and golden. Like a sunrise with the sun just cresting the horizon, turning pillars of clouds orange and yellow and pink. I love it when Onew does disco or (in this case) funk, but what can I say? I love a good bassline. The bright, cutesy/weird scenery is always such a major vibe, too. Absolutely amazing.

A perfect allegory for depression, introversion, and the resulting isolation of it all combined. All of which I can relate to. It's a fun, upbeat song with bright visuals that contradict with its message. Even the "I'm happy" breakthrough feels facetious. However, everyone who has struggled with these feelings has had happiness framed this way to them, and although cheesy and sometimes seemingly unattainable, we continue to strive for it. The world closes in on you when you isolate, surrounding yourself with loved ones, new scenery, etc, grants us perspective. A good one.
