Bad Biz deal for the players. They’d rather have the money themselves than for the football program to spend their money with a car dealer on a one year lease on a Lambo that they’d be personally liable to PAY federal income tax on as a benefit (company car). 😂 There’s no free lunch.

@@darnellrtr252 Should have been a 5 star as soon as On3 or anyone else was ranking “5 stars” . If not, have to question their eval abilities. Dude is “off the chain” in regards to RBs. If someone can’t spot that, I can’t help them. Kid is special. And that’s true whether he signs with Bama or anyone else. No bias.

Thank you for the perspective education. I did not know a player (like Keelon Russell for example) becoming a 5* was based on time and patience as a primary criterion.

Thank you. Time and patience. LOL. Again, I think our BOL guys’ hands are tied. HUGE Fan of all of them….they just have to “toe the company line”. Regardless of that, I’ve been following Travis, Tim and Andrew for decades and love and respect them. Only if Charles Powers would come out and say what his professional reservation is about Keelon Russell by not ranking him higher, especially against a couple of other QBs that are committed to schools VERY near to our state. I would respect that even if I disagreed with it.

Unfortunately, they work for an employer who believes there are 5 better quarterbacks in the 2025 high school class today, July 8, 2024 than Keelon Russell. To me, they’re in an equivalent position of somebody in Joe Biden‘s campaign trying to argue the president had a very strong inspiring debate performance recently.

247 Sports team rankings for Alabama (2025 cycle) drives me crazy. If you look at the rankings for any other program that has 5 star commitments, you can see which players are 5 stars. The 5 star players are pre-sorted to show at the top of the list, and 5 actual stars are filled in. The Alabama data doesn’t match this pattern. Alabama currently shows, at the summary level, as having 3 five stars, but where are these 5 stars in the detailed listing?

Look. I get it, but “patience” is misguided when the guy has thrown for 1000’s of yards and very few interceptions and has won two state championships against as high of a level of competition as anyone in the country - AND just won the Elite 11 against all the other highly ranked quarterbacks in the country. Patience is misguided when you could get it correct now. It’s called get it right. What more do you need to see to get it right?? TIME? Love and respect you guys to death, but know you have to not make the upper management at On3 upset.

I think the criteria y’all use has gotten a little too far fetched. I’ve always ranked or evaluated players by comparing them to other players committed to other top schools. All that other crap doesn’t matter. RTR

@@serenoart I don’t work for any recruiting services. I have my own sports groups yes. football isn’t looked at as a job for me. Football is my passion and love my guy. I played college, coached HS, trained and mentored athletes. I’ve been a college football junky and evaluator for over 18 years. Back when everything was on VHS and dvds. Chat groups was through AOL. Just because I don’t have a recruiting service backing me doesn’t me I’m not just as knowledgeable. Because neither of those guys actually played or coached. So technically I have experience they don’t have. And to be perfectly honest the fact that they didn’t play or coach always shows up from time to time. These guys are media guys first so they have to spin things the way they see fit. That’s why you have real people like me that catches that crap and calls them out on it. I don’t listen to the overhyped stuff you have to take what they say with a grain of salt most of the time.
