1st Gen gamer here: my kid has grown up dreaming of playing college football and being in the video game. Now, he’s going going into his freshman year with a full ride football scholarship at a G5 school and will be in the game the same year. He said he’ll probably be rated in the 50’s as a freshman but that’s fine with him.

Oh you and a bunch of others. You guys missed a lot of the long history of this game. It’s always been more fun than Madden. Provides more options and gameplay in a way has as well. It was heartbreaking when they stopped making it.

That’s exactly what I do too. Penn State on one, and I start at a low level G5 as a OC or DC work to get my HC job at another school and continue forward. I can’t wait to make FAU a relevant powerhouse in Florida

im an alabama fan so how i have always done my dynasty was i would start off with a G5 team/s until the CPU has made alabama completely trash so i can rebuild them and just finish the dynasty with them. just way to easy to win with alabama right away with saban's players and it actually takes CPU like 7 or so years into the sim to be really bad and get fired.

They need to bring back every single features from previous games... they have no excuses... you need to be able to create your own team with built-in teambuilder (the web builder would be the best but let's not hope too much with EA) Dynasty needs to include the transfer portal, advanced scouting a recruiting. Need to be able to edit players. Custom playbooks etc.

My first dynasty will be with my team, Texas. Basically, to learn the systems and the game in general. Once I do that, it's playing as an OC(assuming you can do that in the new game) for a year and seeing what jobs come open.

My thing is getting the coaches skill trees filled out and learning the playbook. You can beat the computer pretty reliably after a while. The most important thing is winning. After 3 seasons you’ve basically done all the work. Every recruit that cares about you is basically signing with you. You’re the best team in your conf already. Rinse and repeat after that. Which is great, I love that. The ultimate goal tho for me was to have ALL my guys in and to fill the those skill trees in. Finding the recruiting gems is addicting tho. I REALLY hope that they keep the coaching trees.

I think a neat dynamic would be the more you engage in the transfer portal, the more chance you will have of players transferring out. That is a good way to instill a "culture" dynamic where transfers in may not be normal at a certain school (i.e. Clemson over the last few seasons) so they don't have transfers out a bunch. However, if you are contstatly bringing in 2-3 players and promising them "starter" playing time, the odds of one of your current players wanting to leave should be higher. Because transferring is viewed as much more of an valid option in that school's "culture"

Really hoping they fine-tune the kinds of recruits you find in different regions. There should be more Polynesians in and around California. More speed and athleticism in states like Florida and Georgia. The Midwest should be deep with O-lineman.

That was hilarious about putting in for PTO time around the time the game drops. Back in the day, I always took two weeks of vacation from mid to late July, right around the time the game dropped. The purpose was twofold: I'm a high school sports writer, so it's the most dead time of the year for my job. It also gave me two weeks to be a complete lazy bum and play NCAA Football. I still take those two weeks off in the back end of July, but I'm looking forward to being a bum playing a new college football game again. I always hope it rains a lot so I don't feel TOO bad about being indoors for hours in July in Michigan.

I haven’t enjoyed Madden since 2009, and I have a feeling Madden might try to put out a good game this year. I miss the days of playing at least 3 different football games. Competition needs to come back for sports video games in a bad way.

My biggest thing is this as an Alabama fan, when Madden had Alabama put into that game for the college campus gameplay experience or whatever the helmets for the crimson Tide looked awful. There was no gloss. The color was matte so if that's not fixed in this game I'm going to be highly disappointed and I know a lot of emphasis has been on the uniforms. The helmets need to be correct. The uniforms need to be correct. The lighting needs to be correct. Alabama's uniforms look good in ncaa 14 I expect them to look good in this game even greater
