The reason Battle Mania 3's subtitle, "Gankutsuou." seems so weird is because it's a reference to the Japanese name of The Count of Monte Cristo. The whole name functionally means something like "Battle Mania: New York Queen of the Cavern."

Having played and completed both HL and Blue Shift on the DC, I could handle the joypad controls, but the constant loading and loading delays, sweet jesus..

Such a shame the dreamcast didn't get the support it deserved, its a great console. Sega really dropped the ball. I totally agree, propeller arena is great fun. Great vid as ever mate.

Very interesting prospects for Dreamcast games! I found Agartha exciting when the first moody gameplay got available. The later finds with actual monsters in looked less interesting but it sounds like they had good ideas! Just one correction: I believe Infogrames were the ones to buy Atari, not the other way around. They decided Atari was a more recognisable name.

Also Geist Force were cancelled due to Yuji Naka trying to use their engine for Sonic Adventure, real shame that we lost that game, and wait Glover 2 was planned for Dreamcast too?

I read somewhere halo at one point was moved onto the dream cast either as an RTS game or third person game, who knows maybe there’s a build out there in first person before being shifted to Xbox

Re:Scud Race. Some years ago Unseen64 contacted several ex-Core Design staff, believed to of worked on the tech demo for Sega, they all refused to talk.

Some nice titles hear that it's a real shame didn't get released, especially when some seemed so close Agree Propeller Arena is great, would have liked to try Take the Bullet and the Treasure game looked great, for me though Scud Race is the big one, would have loved that and still would, criminal that's stuck in the arcade👍

I really really wish they made a Skies of Arcadia 2. I dont think it was ever on the drawning board but that game was so good. I replayed it not to long ago the gamecube version just to play it for fun and went from begining to end because it was such a trip down memory lane.

Well, in my country (Argentina) we could play Half Life in DC, so the cancellation didn't affect me. But the game was did hurt me was Heroes of Might and Magic III... LOVE this game and a port for DC would have been amazing. The game was cancel at 80% for memory problems (the 3DO condition was an 1 to 1 game compared the PC version).A beta ISO exists in the internet.

Your timelines for Castlevania 1 and 2 are incorrect. Castlevania 1 takes place in 1691 and CV2 takes place several years later in 1698 with both starring Simon. CV3 takes place in 1476 which is Trevor's timeline while Sonia Belmont was born in 1433. This cancelled DC CV game takes place in 1666 which means it took place between CV1 and 3 before Simon went on his adventure.

Terminal Reailtiy 1999 Nocturne. survival horror game graphlciy look way ahead of resident evils123 even ps2 slient hill 2. it suppose to out dreamcast mentioned on magazines but not out like haf life. on pc Nocturne one of best looking game that time. its so advance still look comparable ray tracing effect horror games. slient hill 2 even sh3 4 look like old gen game compared nocturne. so if nocturne come out o dc ps2 look weak. nocturne was also engine and alone in dark new nightmare on dc uses nocturne engine but main nocturne game more impressive and more open world like maps instead of one mantion like alone and resi games. sh2 map can be only one level on nocturne. you can thnik agartha like athosmphere with better graphics. it nost just zombie games all kinda of emenyies and many weapons available. on pc first game uses dynamic light and shadows. impressive cloth and blood physics. it won over quake and unreal graphics awards on pc magazines. ı also know another game not realsed on dc . snowboard game called Boarderzone. it realed 2001 on pc. it was impressive snow board game look like n64 1080p gamepaly with 3dfx graphics. it rumored dreamcast. it look like dc game already. both nocturne and boarderzoen have demos on pc if any one wants try. both not avaialbe any modern store on pc.

Where is "here"? GTA 3 was never made on Dreamcast. At most they had a prototype as it was runoured to be worked on for about four months. Or did you mean GTA 2?

But when the Dreamcast was cancelled in 2001, Rockstar approached Xbox for exclusivity, and when they turned them down due to poor sales of the first two entries, development moved over to the PlayStation 2.

By "here" I mean on Dreamcast since saying "they made GTA 3 on Dreamcast yet never released it on Dreamcast" is unnecessarily awkward and doesn't flow as well. I'm the lack of a second thumbstick would've proved hard for an open world game without tank controls, but Soul Reaver managed camera control just fine despite only one stick, so I'm sure DMA Design could've done so. Though considering the map, weapons and the like were already finished, it just seems like a wasted effort not to finish and release it there to me.
