From my experience most airlines have lackluster catering when not departing from their hubs, and unfortunately that seems to be the case with KE as well. Love their livery and service though. All in all, one big point of improvement for KE definitely is to step up their hard product, at least making it more standardized across their fleet. You got unlucky and got the old configuration 777 on both flights 😢

WOW. Airports are now botanical gardens/art museums/malls! Everything you could want😊 Love Korean Air especially the well dressed professional crews. Some American crews have gotten too casual/sloppy dressed. Awesome snow covered mountains & the lacy look of the melting snow paths. My only experience with Korean was A380 from Seoul to New York in business class. That was an amazing flight with amazing food, great service and a comfortable bed. The airport experience at ICN was amazing as well. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. They may not be the best airline in the world, but they are better than every European and USA carrier.

Nice video. Huge like. I flew twice with Korean Air. They really have legroom advantage in economy (i m 6.2 feet high). In 2016, i took the A380 for CDG/ICN route and last year with the B747-8I...both aircrafts are spacious and comfy. I flew until manila in both occasions...they also used the 77W for this route. Ah last year, i took the non-ER variant from ICN to Manila.

This must be in the top 10 of best trip reports on this channel. I don't know why exactly. But the beautiful terminals, the vast and busy air sides, the amazing sunrise, the frequent walks in the plane, the desert and beautiful snowy mountain views from above..... made it almost feel like I was there. I had a good laugh about the food. As I saw how it looked like, I knew it can't be delicious, and certainly not in the air where humans have reduced taste.

You can't tell the taste of something just by how it looks. I've flown KE numerous times in the past 5 months, and their food is some of the best in the sky. The only thing that surprised me was the hot dog. But everything else, similar to what I've had on my own flights with KE, actually looked GREAT. More than anything, I think it's just a difference of culture. The fact that OnBoardHD didn't know what pickled/cultured korean cabbage is, aka kim chi...tells me he really is a westerner LoL. I mean, who in the world does not know what kim chi is?! But again, that tells me his tastes, and probably yours, are heavily biased in favour of western cuisine. But personally I would much rather have the asian options on KE as compared to what I get from Air France and KLM. Korean gives not only more food, but in my opinion, *much* better tasting as well. To each their own.

Love it and speaking of that 2-3-2 Prestige Class configuration if you're a family of 6-7 you take the entire row leaving the middle seat to be a random passenger. On the B777-200er KE086 December 18th 2006 I had the aisle side Korean Businessman was on the middle seat

Starter of the dish was Kimchi. Korean style beef I think was bulgogi. I think so anyways plane dishes are always different compared to a dish at an actual restaurant 😊😅

Korean Air is an airline in South Korea. It will not be able to satisfy the needs of Westerners when it comes to food. As a Korean, I also cannot eat the food I want when flying on European airlines such as Finnair or Air France. I believe we need to respect each other's culture and environment. That's the most important thing, and it's not wrong, it's just different. Thank you for uploading a great video.

HI Lucas Thank you for two interesting video no I have never flown Korean Air and it will not be on my travel list. Well those food dishes to me apart from that Beef dish looked disgusting only people who like Korean food would like that. That so called breakfast of a hot dog no wonder you asked them for a sandwich did that taste any better. Again glad you survivied that. The route that appears on the plane entertainments system just shows a line connecting both points. It doesn't have anything with the real route that the plane will follow. No airline overflyes Ukraine or Afganistan now. Also Korean Air doesn't overfly Russia either.

Why do you think I have this channel? I took it because I wanted to have Korean Air on the channel. I have never take into consideration the shortest route when making the videos.

Fantástico vuelo. Está claro que las aerolíneas asiáticas compiten entre ellas ya que no son muy comparables con los servicios de muchas occidentales en donde el servicio a bordo es un poco menos. Me sorprendió Korean Air y sí, por lo visto faltó mas comida occidental aunque los software que hoy usan para los vuelos determinan la cantidad de comida según el origen de los pasajeros que van en cada vuelo, al parecer a última hora se subieron muchos occidentales al avión.🤣🤣🤣
