Whatever is wrong with Boeing these days, we all owe a debt of gratitude to them for having bought us the magnificent 747 which was the main aircraft that brought affordable long distance travel to us all. Excellent film using a 747 again, thank you so much for bringing it to us.

Well... that's a very good question... if they are sleeping I understand it perfectly.... but many times they are just looking to the ceiling of the plane doing nothing... when they have one of the most amazing things just 90º to their left/right haha

I'm with you, glued to the window! Would love to do that route too but the jet lag must be horrendous. Guessing you land at about the same time you took off given the time difference. Also agree with cabin lighting; it should absolutely be dinner for take off. Same as blinds should always be up for take off and landing. Food looked great and the 747 is my favourite plane!

I actually flew on this same exact aircraft on this same exact route on Korean Air from Seoul to New York in August 2024. I also flew on HL7637 on KE085, except that on my flight to New York, we boarded from Gate 231 instead of Gate 267, where you boarded, and I actually sat in Seat 58A. It was still a little bright upon our landing, but it got completely dark when we arrived at the gate. This was actually the last flight I took (at the time of writing this comment). Also, unlike your KE085 flight on HL7637, our flight actually had Korean Air's latest IFE software (not the Beyond Entertainment one) but an IFE with a whole new look, which I was shocked to see on a 747. Unfortunately, there were no snacks offered in the galley due to extreme turbulence onboard.

Muy bueno el vídeo. Buena comida y gallery completo. Los pantalones grises tienen más millas aereas q las maletas d Julio Iglesias 😆😆. No he tenido Jet lag xq en el vuelo largo q hice llegué tan cansado q dormí como un bebe, pero supongo q es como hacer turnos d noche, te levantas a mediodia con ganas d café y te esperan unas lentejas y cuando te apetecen es la hora d cenar. No sabía muy bien qué esperar de Alaska... y la verdad me sorprendió muy gratamente. Sobrevolar las zonas árticas siempre es una oportunidad para ver paisajes que de otra manera serían imposibles de ver... Aún así, hay muchos pasajero que o bien les da igual, o bien no son conscientes de lo que hay al otro lado de la ventanilla. Creo que en muchos casos es lo segundo. Feliz domingo :))

Thanks Lucas amazing coverage of the windows view. Icheon is really beautiful morden and well illuminated airport. I like Korean air branding, and the service was good, especially, timing for breakfast, some airlines start serving it only 40 minutes before landing

That's interesting details about takeoff and keeping interior lights dimmed. It is odd that on this flight it was brightly lit. I've flown on KE via A380 and they always dimmed or softened the lights during take off.

Great video as always! But at 2:16 this is a 777-200ER. Not a 777-300ER. You can see it has PW4000 and 4 doors per side while the -300 and -300ER gave 5 doors. To remind you the engine options: - 777-200: PW4000, Trent 800 - 777-200ER: GE90-94B, PW4000, Trent 800 - 777-300: PW4000, Trent 800 - 777-300ER: GE90-115B - 777-200LR: GE90-110B - 777F: GE90-110B, GE90-115B - 777-8: GE9X - 777-9: GE9X

I took the flight from Atlanta to Incheon in March. Left at 1130 am. By 330 they dimmed the lights and Made us close the shades. I paid for the view, so i had to occasionally open for photos. I was a little irritated they made us close them so quickly. Alaska was definitely beautiful. Got som good photos. The korean meal was good. Looked much better than the western meals..I didn't know about galley snacks, but they did bring me a cup soup when i asked....The 747 was very spacious... Getting a turn for the bathroom was tricky haha

Fantastic detailed report as usual. The seat pitch look great, must have been 34"? but the cabin just looked devoid of any warmth or style. Nice quiet cabin, much better than the old 747 400s. For such a long flight I thought the catering was only just adequate....odd for westerners having green beans on their breakfast plate....absolute No No!!!!..Asians have odd ideas at times. Alaska from the air is incredible, cloud and daylight permitting and the views beat the IFE. You are right about the cabin lights should be dimmed....I think they are controlled by the flight attendants......not sure it's regs in Korea though as in Europe and other countries. Really enjoyed this review...thanks.

The legroom was really good, I don't know the size exactly, but it was comfortable. For me is completely normal to have green beans with breakfast to be honest haha Anyway, I found the catering correct. It could have a little more quantity, yes, but it was decent. I liked it. I think they are just not aware of where the plane is flying over. If they would do a minimum research I'm sureeveryone would take a look at some point during the flight :)
