Actually, it lasted 7 episodes, although only 3 were ever aired in the US. Also, the final episode actually had a proper finale.

At the time, the company that produced the show owned Marvel, and there was even a tie in comic (For all of two issues)

Muppet Babies are owned by Disney under The Muppet Studio name except for Fraggle Rock that is owned by The Jim Hensom Company. New World is now owned by Fox and it is a legal holdings entity of 20th Century Fox Television, 20th Century Fox and Fox Television Stations Group who got the tv stations from New World Communications (keeping the copyright from being owned by New World).
