Once a Marine (Full War Documentary) 2020

Once a Marine is a documentary about combat and how it affects a group of young Marines as they come home from war and struggle to live with PTSD, addiction, and mourn their fallen.
I directed, shot, produced and edited this documentary from 2013 to 2020 by interviewing the Marines I served with in Charlie Company (Coldsteel), 1st Battalion 6th Marine regiment on two deployments in Afghanistan. All the combat footage is our own.

Hey Brothers, thank you for putting this together. Maybe one day they will figure out a system to put back together what gets broken in war. The stupid thing is the people that can help the most are those with similar experience, but most of those people are broken too. TYFYS should really be an apology for the failure of a nation to care for the people they ask to do all the dirty work. WTH happened? Once upon a time, WE were professionals. These kids just gave themselves excuses to be bums. Utterly disgusting and shameful. At the same time it's said that the military only brings out what's inside. As a veteran I've walked amongst warriors and these clowns are quite the opposite. Hold one in your mouth. I know these guys personally and their collective experience and body count in defense of this nation is far more than you’ve ever considered sacrificing. This doc was filmed just a couple years after they EAS’d. to this date, every Marine interviewed is doing great and takes care of their respective families. What you know bout 1/6
