The most important lesson here is: BE VERY CAREFUL WHO YOU LAY WITH OR ALLOW TO GET YOU PREGNANT. IF YOU ARE NOT MARRIED TO A MAN, OR AT LEAST OFFICIALLY ENGAGED TO BE MARRIED TO HIM, DO NOT LET HIM GET YOU PREGNANT. IT IS BETTER TO LET HIM GO, THAN TO ALLOW HIM CHANGE THE COURSE OF YOUR LIFE.

What a selfish and wicked guy. After denying the pregnancy, he now wanted to claim the son he rejected. If not because of how good the grandmother is to her, she should have denied him all access to the boy.
