Finally a video that explains it rather then a general over view lacking details. Last night I finished the challenge of 22 different fish with the Suckerfish being the last one for me. I wish there had been a way to know which you still had remaining though, or ones caught.

Yeah I do too, I'm 21/22 and it's either big blue or now I'm thinking sucker fish that I'm missing haha

Wow, thank you. I thought it was all mouse buttons; did not know it was so interactive and I appreciate the mechanics but highly agree with the comment that we need additional indicators to show that the character also is involved with catching the fish.

damn bro, ur theory is really impressive ! I Gotta try it later. Been fishing for weeks to sell Eel Deviant, and i was assuming that the fish somehow has energy bar, thats why i keep spamming the rod to the opposite of the fish and eventualy it works quite good but still lose some of the fish that i tought it must be uncatchable fish / a bigger fish. But based on my experience, ur theory seems to be more efficient because when i move the rod to the edge right or left, it must've pass the bar u mentioned before and thats the reason i am able to catch the fish... I think there must be math configuration about the angle between the fish and fisher, so the right angle could be moved once the fish move and its could be easier to predict if we got to know is it 45*, less or more. Keep it up ur research buddy !

I appreciate the comment! This method has worked well for me even with the bigger fish. At the start of the season I was just pulling the opposite direction of the fishes travel as well, and that could be a factor that plays into where the Hotspot is located at that moment. Hopefully they add some sort of indicator to it to at least let us know we are on the right track because if I lost the bottom bar before I find the hotspot I usually end up losing the fish

@@FringePatriotGaming After watching your video, I caught 20 fish without losing a single one. I noticed my sweet spots are always in the opposite direction of where the fish is swimming. For example, if it goes left, my sweet spot is somewhere on the right.

@yaseennoor6250 nice! I only lose the fish if I can't find the spot before that line break bar depletes. I swear I had dozens with hot spots opposite to the fishes travel direction which is why in my first video I said that's how you find the hot spot. But I've since had several hot spots, especially with big fish, where it's not following that rule. I think the easy solution would be for the devs to add some sort of on screen indicator, that might take the fun out of it though

@@yaseennoor6250 I sure the tutorial states go opposite, but there seems to be more to it like this video. As it doesn't seem to matter too much everytime I caught a fish, it seemed to be more luck. Might have to try with this new adivce.

That's not how I thought it worked at all. That sometimes in order to catch a fish you have to slightly tug the camera left and right, sometimes you just have to stand still, and sometimes you have to tug very hard back and forth. And sometimes there is a hot spot.

I would say there is less than 1% chance that there are that many variables to catching fish, that being said they don't tell us for sure so anything is technically possible

Your video 🎣 explain it but still it break very fast for I might think the reason is it's bigger fish or legendary 🐟 so still guess work 😢 the other issue with OH fishing is they don't explain the bait if it helps use different one and different type of fish , also the lure I just found out you can throw it in the water and it make some kind of ripple effect which makes fishing "easier" and bigger type eat your bait often !!

Yeah they could do a better job at explaining the bait. I didn't catch any big ones in these examples but the mechanics are the same. Like you said though the break bar depletes faster with bigger fish and if that depletes before I figure out the hot spot I typically lose that fish

NO!! based on the fish types board that you see each fishing zone 😔 My guess they will do an event about it maybe in S2 or tbh it's just a mini game they did not invest in much or complete 😅

Haha so in phase 5 one of the seasonal tasks is to have caught 22 fish species, I'm assuming that is all of them. I'm at 21/22 unfortunately lmao, Idk which one I'm missing

@@FringePatriotGaming i got them all (IDK even know how) but there is 2 types you can exchnage (5 and you get bigger one check the seller) and i notice there is lot of fish only can be cought in river and other in the sea in normally (not during the event) am noticing also night and day sometimes have effect but not 100% sure

Yep just double checked I definitely did and even a small fishing video for way of winter as well. Unless they've changed it since then, I'm not actively playing once human at the moment. Waiting for the next scenario
