i did this, but started with 3 seeds, i farmed Scarlet Calamus to make Breeding Boost fertilizer, get 3 seeds back instead of 1. This allowed me to start farming the Contaminated Berries very quickly.

The answer to my testing prayers. I didn't want to dismantle my farm to test if the water trickled down, but I'm so happy to learn that it does. I do have one concern about your math for the crops though. Unless they all have the same grow time then you're losing efficiency by taking twice as long to grow the aloe vera. I'll do some testing tomorrow and get to building. Our server has been pigeon holed due to acid production, and I think you may have provided the solution.

Many things in the game now Stack to 1000 and there is now a Seprate Slot in the Growshroom Containment unit menus were we can give it furtilizer for it to automaticly use, so helpful and way easier now :)... Nice vid :)

It’s best to put half of your base on a polluted zone and the other half outside of it, that way you can plant in the polluted area (aloe Vera and peppercorn ideally) so it can have a higher likelihood of turning into a deviated plants

The bumble bee deviant helps mutation chances for your plants, wheat beer gives you a 30 minute no sanity loss buff as well I pop my ale and run into the pollution

You can add 4 more plot per level, in the center, where your Irrigation is and put the sprayer on top of the ceiling cover. Also, while the Aloe Vera only needs 2 to get one acid, it takes twice as long to grow so wheat will get you more acid faster.

I've done all the water pumps and osmosis stuff in a polluted zone. I've done contanimated seeds too. I still find that going out and just clobbering things the old fashion way with deviated food is the quickest acid making method even though it is not passive I save way more time than all the looking and gathering and crafting needed to get passive collection up and running.

I wish I could find a nice polluted area to live in for a water pump acid farm but the devs have made it so there is literally only one good base location in the high tier zone.. so your comment I agree with. I’d like to try this grow farm acid thing but it looks like a lot of work.

It's always going to be the quickest way to do things, manually will always beat automation, but over time this becomes a waste of time that you could be doing other things so that getting acid quickly becomes a chore over time and wastes time you could be doing more important things

Good video on theory if it worked as it should i followed your advice and made this set up i have 6 barrels set up with 4 slots in each when im in my base all works fine each barrel produces 4 acid per 20 minutes. if i leave my base and go on a mission then this drops to 1 acid per 20 minutes and the same if off-line looking in to it it seems to be a known thing very bugy good if you want to stay in your base all day or leave your pc on all night but otherwise not worth all the set up

Tip when you get all seeds already for growing them. After you use breeding boost fertilizer and now you're able to plant in all your planter boxes. Use the growth boost (3 fertilizer, 1 apple) it speeds up growth from 12 hrs to just around 6 hours and you get 5 plants per 6 hrs, so if u plant twice u get 10 for 12 hours. Comparing this with the yield boost fertilizer which gives you 8 plants per 12 hrs, better use growth boost plant twice and you get a lot more plants in 24 hrs

If the water trickles down and you only have one sprinkler on top, you fill in the centre of the cross on all the lower levels too, right? That gives you 24 plots per layer instead of 20. Also you could use a rainman to water them, not sure how many it could water though.

Use loamy soil instead of Planter box its very space efficient to use growth light in a single floor one planter box equals ~4 loamy soils

Just starting with this farm and I be honest this is best farm to make if you don't want to live in polluted zone. It is perfect. I built this in Red Sand area too, now I'm getting Oil, Clean water, Acid. Also it takes almost no electricity (32W and 5W for mushroom friend, so total 37W).

This doesnt work anymore. At least with that construction. You can no longer place the floors/ceilings that close on top of the grow boxes. They need to be one level higher. I am testing it with the 2/3 walls, but it is making it twice as tall and you will need walls for darkness. You will also need more water.

Your spot for farming contaminated seeds got me everything BUT seeds! After harvesting for an hour and getting over 100 plants, I got only 6 seeds! On the plus side, I farmed over 7k stardust ore, nearly 500 silver (plus 3 digbys), and oddly quite a few fish from eclipsing pelicans. Not to mention the 30+ bears I had to kill. But seeds? Hardly any!

Yeah you won't get a lot of seeds there, that's why you need to multiply them with fertilizer once you get them. You'll get most of those seeds through farming.

Correct. I am currently building this in Manibus, you cant place them on the small halfwall height, you have to place them on the half pillar height. Also notice, Irrigation has to be on the 4th layer, otherwise the bottom crops dont get water.

Have to correct you on something: Growshroom can be caught in mushrooms you pick in the wild AND at your base. Same for onions and such. They also can be picked up when you pick resources from your Growshrooms! Meaning, growshrooms can help you find more growshrooms.

​@@bl1ks_392 you lose your base and character level. Start with the same character model/name in a brand new server. You keep your gear/weapon blueprints and mods. All your itens go to your eternaland but there is a limited amount you can transfer to your new season inventory (you dont need to do straight away tho. You can transfers them at any point. For example I transferred some of these contaminated seeds, some deviations, a chainsaw and a eletric drill at first. But when I got the solar drill memetic, I transferred some gold ores to make me one. It is actually very fun to start over with an already functional build from level 1

I got like 1 seed per 5 wild plants. The tips is to get gardening gloves and harvesting sickle to increase the loot chance. Another tips is to change world. The best spot is the most north west contaminated zone. A bit far from the teleporter, but always has at least 3 contaminated crops waiting for you. Also tons of stardust ore, so many bears and deers you'll never have to worry about meat

You require growshrooms and farm lots of contaminated plants, while for osmosis setup all you need are memetic points

Also the polluted water osmosis setup will need a lot of power. You need at least 8 water pumps for it to be more efficient. The farming method uses less power and has a more flexible location for your base. For now the best passive method is the sulfur synthesis bench, but only if you get the memetics.

Yeah the functional limit gets reached around the 9th floor. I have a ton of pumps though too so could've gotten to 10 easy. Only had two irrigations and had zero issues except that you need to make sure it has a solid roof and little view of windows.

The easiest way is to do the vehicle of life thing that gives Sproutlets, trade the Sproutlets with Nisa for acid. 10/15 minutes of gameplay and you can have 1000 acid. She doesn't sell anything else worth having. Honestly, my way is quicker and easier.

I wish the dev. increase the yield and speed for processing these. That amount is not good enough for people not going into psi zone but is a nice option for people has no plan to go there. Is not worth the effort to do so compare to pumps and it also kept you from growing other plants as well.

The gardening method is just passive / offline farming. It will never compare to active acid farming, it's just a bonus 400-1200 per day depending on choice of passive acid farm setups, and the crops can be used for deviated recipes.

Bonus is the aloe vendors for more, but for acid it's just meh vs wheat. Rather grow saffron as it's legendary quality and sells for way more.
