Biggest issue and what will literally kill this game is not the pvp but them adding countless of servers and locking the older ones. If they don't merge servers before season 2 starts I don't see a bright future for Once Human and that makes me rather sad since I really love the game overall..

Im on a pve server. It said I can do pvp, I have never seen anyone flagged.. There should be an event or something that would help the random pve guys to have a little pvp. I like the game, it was fun exploring it, but the map doesn't change as much as it should. Every place and town feels the same. The terrain changes. So you notice that when you are in the rocky mountains, but other than that, it still feels the same. I don't do builds, I'm still running in my tier3 stuff just to make it somewhat interesting. Not playing around with mods or anything. And it makes the difficulty harder, but the game needs it. Even the common mobs should be way stronger. The melee reach is crazy. The tracking is crazy. The accuracy is crazy. The whole thing is so casual friendly. It feels too easy. The best part of the game was the early levels. Quests. Goals. Rewards. Puzzles. There was something to play for. Right now, I lost that. There should be way more.. Not just to level up or something, but for the stories. There were a few a really liked. I know and I see most people just skipped everything, so I understand that this is nothing something that everyone likes. After all this, I simply lost interest..

Server merges are basically an impossibility, the base collision alone make it a logistical nightmare. You merge 10 servers together, each of those servers have 10 worlds, that's 10 bases per server that could potentially be overlapping, so you could have hundreds of bases stacked ontop of each other, each base with a few hundred collision errors. Bases dont even drag all the pieces properly when you move from one spot to another and you expect them to shove servers together and not decimate people's hard work in the process? You're clearly living in fantasy land

@@aerrothaxepyre6264 it's definitely doable. they did it in the beta. Your base, if it isn't built in the same spot once the server merges, just has to be placed down again. the only things that would break are pumps and things that aren't placed on a platform.

my biggest problem right now is my server is full ( which is funny consider i rarely meet anyone) so my friend can't make characters so we stuck on a loop where we don't want to make new one but they can't join us

Yeah so servers currently are really weird, they can have 4k players on at one time but max can only have 8k unique UIDs created on a server. When a server hits 8k UIDs it caps/locks and no more characters can be created on said server, it's some incredibly outdated ancient server tech that they seriously need to update.

I was also thinking why they didnt merge servers but then I participated in a Prime War and got stuck in infinite ammo reload lag. Don't merge the servers. Fix them first

The Eternaland transfer rules/allowance is what will make or break the game for a lot of people. I've spent days/weeks trying to obtain certain deviations and the possiblity that they will just get stranded in Eternaland because we dont have the budget to xfer the ones we worked for will kill the game for some people. My understanding is we have a 20k allowance (what shows ingame) and deviants cost 5k per, which means we could take 4 deviants and *nothing* else into season 2. That doesn't work for me.

Doing the "Warhammer online" way of making players pick two sides and then fight over objectives sounds like decent way to get BETTER PvP going. Frontiers need season or two to cook properly. But yeah, bandaid as mentioned. Also, I'm glad the forced PvP was removed. AIn't rust and it's quite easy if not material expensive to blow up even hardiest base, not to mention turrets in PvP aren't the biggest threat at all. More of light detterence.

Why pick a PVP server if its opt in? we have PVP events on the PVE server, so if "opt in" is enforced why even have two different server types? just put everything on a single server.

Brother this game is a million times better at launch than all the disasters we have seen in past couple years. Give it some time, it's only going to get better. I have over 10k hours in Rust. 4k hours in New World, 5k hours in Both Division 1&2 mostly spent in Dark Zone. I am hardcore PvP player who is enjoying this game pve for now. Ttk is crazy low and PvP is non existent in this game right now but there is immense potential if game devs build on this. I will dive into PvP in my own sweet time when the game gets better.

The other thing I'm confused about is the idea of "Involuntary PvP" because the servers are clearly labeled "PvP/PvE" and they don't directly force the player into one or the other. The choice for PvP in my mind is made at the point of server selection knowing and understanding the rules of engagement beforehand. How is that forced PvP?

They should cancel Warbands wars for now. There s SO many things that are t right it s not even fun anymore. Like having to take half of a day to prepare a base to discover that some people come with 30 people+ sneaky to destroy everything so you dont have time to rebuilt... The tons of exploits and lags... The lags The ranking system that is dogshit (enough trying to be kind with my words). Wont start to talk about it there s too many things... Wont talk about alts neither anybody with a brain know how it ll be for warbands wars and how you can use alts to fuck the system. Only people planning to use it will be made about this statement. ‐-------------------------------- Factions is probably the best thing they can make. It would solve one of the biggest issue right now: alliance between warbands that just destroy a server entirely. If they want more people in PvP it s easy: no more gear loss when you die and rework raid system. When someone is flagged PvP his base should be raidable. The only thing is when they lose loot 50% at least goes back to their "territory beacon". This would make people flag more cause they can get rewards without risking their stuff the entire time. (Most of the time the first to shoot wins... so flag in PvP is kikd of complicated) They could also make world 6 to 10 PvP only with better rewards like +50% of loot mods gear ressources or something like that. So when you go in those worlds you are flagged. Also working for base if your base is in those worlds then if you are online and flagged it can be attacked but it will produce +100% things like explo ammo and so on... There s tons of solutions. Instead of warbands they should focus on Hives wars like 8v8 and make that good. I dont know maybe some tournaments like deathmatch, territory capture... they have the territory already it easy to do. Like 6 oil machine where you can build a base 1h before, the area being closed. 6 hives build their base. When it starts a flag pop in the middle the hive that manage to keep that flag score points at 1k points that hive win. People respawn at the oil machines where they did their base. You can even devide by 2 for those events like 3 hives fighting to reduce peopme and lag.

Why waste manpower and resources on defending a frontier against 30-50 people BEFORE the war starts? LOL play smart, your warband just sucks for sure. But yeah, I do agree warband politics is shit, factions would be better if there's only 2 of them.

So I haven't played Once Human yet, but a friend recommended it to me. I tried to join his server, but it said it was full. He said unless the servers become open you aren't going to be able to join. Is there a known time when that might happen? Because I'm getting bored of gaming overall and want something new to grind. Thanks

New servers open every 2 days, you can't join old servers as they are "full".

TBH insta-PVP all-the-time-every time almost as soon as you get on a server, especially considering how broken (technically and gameplay-mechanically) PVP is AS-IS, would have been absolute ass. So "Thank God" for those anti non-optional PVP laws there haha This isn't World of Warcraft either, where you could justify such a thing lore-wise and gameplay-wise (2 massive historical factions, usually at odds + tons of faction exclusive content/zones so it's no suffocating either way).

I am the organizer of the transition of all Russian clans to 1 server due to the scattering of all clans across servers, which makes pvp even more boring. It is planned to transfer everyone after the 20th servers, but perhaps we will go to the first 10 servers. we'll discuss

I dont get why we should have pvp and pve servers. In my opinion it would be better to have all of this on one server merged together. Much more content. Pvp cant be forced anyway, so dont want to fight go dungeons or kill bosses, want to fight go visit pvp zones. It would double the content for everyone. Also they cant merge servers before they fix issues with server lagging. I mean servers are lagging when they nearly empty. Imagine they will be full and you go for PvP... Im considering now to move to pve server as there's nothing to do on pvp, fights are a joke anyway. @@MaleOreo if they nerf bingo they better nerf jaws, the only issue i have with pvp is jaws, zeno, and cargo immunity times i'm sure theirs a lot more issues that need to be adressed, in cargo people just rush your location while having immunity they need to reduce the immunity time, that zeno deviant is just plain annoying, if they don;t want to get rid of it from pvp at least make it run at you instead of teleporting on your ass its also hard to determine who's is who's zeno half the time in the heat of the action, it also causes you to loose cover trying and escape it's BS

They need to fix so much shit for pvp. The Lag, complete unbalance, game modes ect. They also really need to rethink the over exaggerated time gating and rng bullshit with everything from Starcrom limit, controler limit, shit sub stats on mods even in pro mode and just overall keeping people interested.
