I don’t understand anyone who says Huaisang is a villain. In the end he was left with nothing - he did all of it for justice, not for himself. He’s my favorite character and I wish he could have had a happier ending 😭

I honestly don't get it either. He could've easily killed Meng Yao, but he wanted more than his death. He wanted Wei Wuxian's name and reputation cleared, also made sure Lan Zhan and WWX could have their happily ever after, and then the ultimate revenge. NHS is my absolute fave. My HC is that he becomes a mentor to Ouyang Zizhen and adopts two kids.

ıdk why people say he is a villian, when I saw a comment like that I was shocked because I've never thought like that: jgy was the villain and caused nearly everyone's death, huisang brought justice, killed jgy and gave a chance to wei ying, maybe it was not his biggest intention but he really did it. Without him, wei ying would be dead, jgy would kill more and more people, and all the lies that stained wei ying's intentions would be still going around, we owe him a lot! and also, he loved his brother and he did it majorly for him, and that's not a thing that villains do, because he gained no benefit from it.

After lan wangji's situation he could have been a chief cultivator, but it's not about his master plan, it's just about lan wangji's decision I guess, I didn't read the book too carefully btw
