Hello, you beautiful people! Here's one of my favorite soundtracks - "Once Upon A December" from the movie Anastasia (in the style of Deana Carter). I grew up with this song and it is also one of the first songs that I've sung at the beginning of my journey in music. I hope you'll enjoy my version of it!

You have unlocked some great memories. I remember singing this in middle school chorus. Back then there were not many boys in chorus so each class only had a few. I was used to the baritone part being an afterthought, a quiet background line. On the week of our winter concert we did our first dress rehearsal with all the combined classes, and I was blown away. I'm short so I was on the bottom row. I had the now powerful baritone section surrounding me with that low (For that age) powerful sound. It was so exciting and I've looked forward to concerts ever since. My old middle school chorus director was terminated this year for some pretty serious things, so it's been hard to remember good things from those years. This brought back so much, I still love this song. Amazing job as always!

Your experience brought up my memories as well. I'm most likely a mezzo soprano but in high school you kinda have to differentiate between soprano and alto base on confidence rather than the actual vocal range. And the teacher basically told us head voice and chest voice existed and left us to our own devices. So at first I was reluctantly put in second soprano, but after a year of self learning (and a lot of shower singing disasters) I actually was among the few people who could hit the highest note. I really looked forward to the Christmas performance because it was a Christian school and they chose unpopular but meaningful songs that made you look at the story of Christmas through different "story arcs" and "side plots" in the bible. But that year's performance was cancelled due to pandemic...... Sorry for the rambling, and wish you a (very early) merry Christmas!
