I am back to kick off the year with a new and improved cover of "Once Upon A December" from the animated film, Anastasia. This has been my most viewed and liked video on youtube so I thought I would revamp it a little since it's been five years since I uploaded the original!
(And OMG did you all see how Anastasia is being brought to life on Broadway this year?! I've already purchased my tickets, I'm so excited!!!)

This is not a live video. The video was filmed subsequently to the audio. I use GarageBand to record my audio and the only effects I use are a little bit of ambience and reverb. The audio is me singing, if you have any doubts you are free to check out some of my other covers. I have also posted a live version of this song on my channel as well. Wow! This is definitely my favorite cover of the song! You've such soft and sweet voice that goes really well with the melody. Actually I've never watch Anastasia let alone know about this song. A friend of mine from Russia said I should watch this classic and showed me the song. We met each other while traveling and shared our cultures. Guess that's the beauty of always learning new things from new people :) I was drowned by the beautiful and mysterious melody this song produced the moment I hear it. Question, when you are recording, do you listen on headphones to hear the musical track? If so, does the recording come out as 1 track in Garageband with both the vocals and the background music on the same track?

Mike F Hi Mike! When I record, I have the backing track on through my headphones and record my vocals on a separate track. It comes out as two separate tracks on garageband. I hope this makes sense!

Like Really?? i past by this video like a hundred times and didn't click to view and trust me me you made me regret every single time i didn't! wow i can't even start to imagine how this would compare to the original - Julia your voice in this song is comforting and soothing to an extent that you made a 41 year old guy shed tears listening to the song.
