They never met each other until the second half of Season 3. Perhaps Merida from Brave taught her. I mean the directors plan on putting her in like Elsa and Anna from Frozen.

I know. What I wondered was before s5 aired. Now we got our loose end resolved. But also, I like to see more of Snow’s story and her abilities. Like how she knew how to sword fight, how to handle a spear, earn a lot more faith, how she learned how to talk to animals like birds, and how she got her bandit suit. Most likely those would be resolved in a revival. And Perhaps Tarzan was the one who taught her to talk to animals and handle a spear; perhaps Peter Pan (the real Peter Pan, not Malcolm the fake one) taught her to swordplay and helped her show a lot of faith (since since he showed a lot of it, faith, trust, and pixie dust); and maybe Indians like Pocahontas and her tribe can be the ones who gave her the suit and might be one of the reasons why and how Snow knew so much about the forest and it’s creatures and inhabitants.

Does anyone find Emma a tad annoying? She is supposed to be street-smart. Last season, she trusted the magic mirror guy. Snow warned her daughter that ogres hunt by sound. A few minutes later, Emma shoots her gun in the air. There is also telling Cora about Henry. As for Snow, she inspired me to take up archery lessons. ABC should make a tee-shirt with Snow's "BACK AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER"
