I know Henry is supposed to be crying cuz Regina’s evil, but it also could just be an adoptive baby thing. Baby’s recognize the sound of their mother’s heartbeat in the womb. When Snow holds him, she’s holding him close to her chest and Regina’s not. She should let him get used to her heartbeat. I know it’s not the point of the story but that’s the literal problem

@@barbarablue2571 I don't know, so much of the story and her arc is based on his unconditional love - he resisted her actions and stood up to her but he makes it clear repeatedly that his love for her doesn't change, also, it could be balanced out by his whole heart of the truest believer thing he always believed in her and wanted her to do the right thing, I lean more to she was visibly stressed and babies pick up on that kind of thing its not like he cried in the adoption agency when she held him he was fine then, it was only after she left when he became her sole responsibility - its not like she had a partner who could take him and give her a break

Fun Fact! For anyone that comes across this: I am actually one of the kids in the background! I am the little girl with the pink star robe and white multicoloured pyjama pants 0:49 & 1:30 . There originally was two takes for this scene. One where I was sitting down reading a book and the other which is what the final product came to be, of me playing around with some old toys right behind Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret Blanchard ~ Snow White) & Lana Parrilla (Regina Mills ~ The Evil Queen). I was around 9 years old by the time of the shooting, now I’m 18 and still remember filming this scene so clearly! ❤️

For someone who wanted revenge so much and hated Snow so much, she sure as hell does act very calm and nice to her, except that little "make yourself useful"... especially by actually letting snow hold Henry... Buts its kinda sad that Regina couldn't soothe the baby but Snow could because she is family, thus just another reminder to Regina of Snow having loved ones, unlike her. so much for her ultimate revenge, her own son whom she brought up literally ruined her revenge. trololol

In "Welcome to Storybrooke", it showed that after a while, Regina was getting bored with the curse and taunting Mary-Margaret and a comatose David from afar. And this was just after a few DAYS. At this point in "Save Henry", it's a full 18 years into the curse, so Regina must be tired of taunting Mary-Margaret. I just think that all of that hatred and resentment kicked back in once Emma showed up 10 years after this point and the curse started to break.

Henry has shown plenty of affection towards Regina despite the fact that Regina has isolated him to the point that he had to go to therapy and then tried to make him believe he was crazy and tried to kill people around him - yet this boy still considers Regina to be his mom, still tried to protect her even after he had been "killed" because of something she did - Regina may have loved Henry but that doesn't make her a good mother until she learned to put Henry first instead of her needs and wants. Difference between Henry's situation and Roland's situation is that the Regina that Henry grew up with was selfish, the one that Roland knows has come to the side of the light and is a hero

To be fair, he is just a baby and I get she is stressed out he won’t stop screaming. It could be biological, it could be because she didn’t hold him closer right then, but sometimes babies do cry. I don’t think it is as easy as snow is good snd Regina evil, I think it’s more that Regina is stressed and insecure at this point snd he picks up on that. Since she can’t settle he won’t, whereas MM/Snow is calmer. And of course the more she worries the more stressed she got snd the more he cries. She just wanted to do right by him and feeling she didn’t must have been troubling.

Maisie Gold He is a Mary Sue? How so? Because he cried when Regina held him and didn't when Snow did? Or because he was upset that Regina kept trying to make him think he's crazy and kill people around him? Zelena had good examples, and yet she also made a lot of the same choices Regina did. Regina shouldn't have Henry. Well I mean if you think about it, this was probably a little while after the curse. Cause Regina had that whole montage of her just living the same day over and getting bored. Then she went to Gold for help getting a baby and even though he “knew” who he was looking for, it still probably took a little time. And then this was what like a day or 2 after she adopted him. So in my mind, this is taking place maybe a month or so after the curse? So if that’s the case I would think her body would’ve returned to at least somewhat what it was before. But then again I’ve never had a baby so what do I know!

I feel bad for regina in this scene. Personally I think they did a shitty job making it where Henry always cried with regina.. Just helps play into henrys mindset, and the shows, that you are only good or evil. Especially at this time in the season and everything. It doesnt help that for the longest, and probably still, henery still only velieves you are a hero or villain, not just a person. Even if they are trying to play the nature/nurture card, a baby wouldnt be crying the ENTIRE time just because it can semse she isnt his real mother.
