I make no money from these videos, but they still take a lot of time and effort to make. If you like them and want to buy me a coffee or something, it would be much appreaciated. If not, no worries, a like or a comment goes a long way too. Thank you! PayPal donation: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=DADCYC7X2K5AL

I liked that shot when Frank is in the bed with Jill. Starts with the faces one in front of the other, but the camera moves far and spins 90 degrees to see they're in a bed. Impressive

The western that all westerns strive to become, even Clint Eastwood's spaghetti trilogy, and I like Clint. Charlie Bronson, Fonda & Eli Wallach are so different, yet perfect together. As for Claudia, well .... She's Cardinale

Malcolm, truly, your tributes to the Maestro are moving and beautiful. Like Tarantino, you've the ability and understanding of how to pay homage to Leone because you understand the greatest dynamic of his Cinema, Poetry. For me, Tarantino's greatest moment in tribute to the Maestro is the sequence involving Sergeant Werner Rachtman in Inglorious Basterds. Using one of Maestro Morricone's most moving themes he takes us on a step by step tribute to Maestro Sergio culminating in the Jew Bears inquiry as to how he earned the Iron Cross and Sgt. Rachtman's response "Bravery". Here was no Nazi but a warrior and in that moment when their eyes meet, there is both respect and sadness in Bear Jew's eyes and even a hint of the welling of tears. I'm reminded of Angel Eyes slight nod at the disgrace of wasted lives he sees at the confederate fort and the wistful and melancholy way Frank responds to Harmonica's caveat that Frank will only know "at the point of dying" and Frank's response "I know". As I witness the sad decline of modern film I find myself lamenting more and more the loss of the Grand Maestros Leone, Morricone and Delli Colli. Truly, they were pioneering Masters of post modern Cinema and we are in their debt. Your work is truly beautiful Sir, thank you.

That scene of hanging to an arch with isolated rain down pouring out in the distant buttes is truly beautiful and well calculated cinematography. The Monument Valley, perhaps. If they make this scene today we are certain it is computerized for artistic goal. All under western sky are beautiful.

Yeah that's Monument Valley, IIRC after the success of the Dollar Trilogy Leone was given a bigger budget for his next project and some of the scenes were filmed in the States and some in Europe, he even wanted Eastwood, Van Cleef and Wallach to appear as the characters that were waiting for Harmonica at the train station, even if he did not get that I am glad he got to add those beautiful landscapes in Utah.
