It's hard to overstate how great this episode is. Rumple-centeric episodes usually are, of course. And the Neal=Bae twist is often considered the second-best twist of the series.

The reveal that Neal is Baelfire is one of the best plot twists of this series. People either put the pieces together or they’re hit by a wall of bricks.

I love how messy the family tree is. With Snow being Regina's stepdaughter, making her Henry's grandmother and adoptive stepsister. And Regina being Henry's Great grandmother and adoptive mother and now Neal and Rumple are added to the family tree😂

It's fascinating to watch Rumple in this show. All that power, clear evidence that prophecies don't necessarily mean what you think they do, a couple hundred years of experience with the seer's abilities to prove that point, and he still hasn't learned his lesson.

That's how Rumpel planned all of it! He took seer's powers to see the future and make arrangements. Also, similarly to how "leave your son fatherless" didn't mean Rumpel will die, "your undoing" doesn't necessarily mean death 🙃 P.S.: yes, Mila is a fucking hypocrite!

This episode DID NOT disappoint! I had been WAITING for this one, and your reaction when it was revealed that Neal was Baelfire was absolutely spot on. All the other revelations in this episode just made it a whole lot better as well. Definitely one of my favourite episodes of the entire series!

It's always great to see if reactors get the Neal/Baelfire twist before the reveal, because you either see it coming a mile away or it blindsides at the reveal/clicks into place right before^.^ Season 2 opens in New York with him getting the postcard about the curse breaking, and it's revealed the episode "Tallahassee" that he's Henry's father. So, when Rumple has them go to look for his son in New York and the episode is called "Manhattan"~~~^.^

When this episode first aired, it had been MONTHS since the episodes "Broken" and "Tallahassee" had aired, so while some fans may have speculated that Neal=Bae at some point, it had been 3-4 months since the beginning of the season that you just kind of forgot and lost your mind over this reveal.

I was never really into in OUAT, but this was the episode that really sparked my interest for the show. Dramatically, it's one of the best episodes, and Rumplestiltskin was always my favorite. I do really despise Milah, tho.

The cherry on the pie was that Henry and Rumple have similar looks and hairdo 💡 You can tell the writers had this idea in mind since the pilot, everything that happened during 1 season and a half was leading to this exact moment at Baelfire's appartment.

Also, it’s sooo trash that snow told Regina that Emma didn’t have to run it by her that she was taking Henry to NYC. And you didn’t even say anything about it. It’s really f’d up. Regina is Henry’s mother. Emma gave him away. Ugghh.
