dave so very helpful ; we planted our acre in southwest va. in 2002 and made alot of mistakes. Your video gives helpful tips that we can use currently. We do cordons with spur pruning but your vane pruning demonstration is helpful and gives a better understanding of our goal-turn sunshine into wine. Thank you for your efforts and it is inspiring to watch you work with the "little fellows"! Best regards, Jesse Webster

I got those boxes from a vineyard supply store here Central Valley Builders Supply. I am not sure what your location is but you could always try calling them and see id they had a idea where there might be boxes near you. Thanks for watching, Dave

Hi Dave, I think you should continue this series. I would like to see how you train the vine from a young age. There are plenty of pruning videos online but not too many that show from a grafting age. Please continue, also I will be in Napa the first weekend of Oct and will take you up on your offer of seeing your two "one acres" Thanks Don aka wheelman10122

Dave, any updates from this season? I would love to see how the vines grew in their first year.

Hi Don Very nice to hear from you, and thanks for your message. Its a good idea to keep following the vines, I will talk with Adam who does all the filming and editing ( that's why the videos turn out so well ) and see what his schedule is like as we go through the summer. That would be great to meet you, just let me know when we get a little close what your schedule will be like and we can have a look how things are doing then. Thanks again, Dave

Hi Dave, Enjoying all your videos, What way would you train a White grape vine inside a polly tunnel. 8x10 feet. I have a metal garden arch inside just under the plastic cover and would like to train it around, like a hoop so i still have room to grow other things in there.

The Arch goes from one side over the centre path to the other. This is now winter , winter 1, since planting, and i am wondering about cutting back. I have the main stem 20 inches high and have 2 shoots from each side that have grown around the arch around 5ft. how would you prune it from now Dave ? many thanks, Phil, Scotland UK.

Hi EatYourLandscape The vines are doing well up in Yountville, many have reached the top wire. Sorry for the delay with the next video, I was able to work with a zinfandel vineyard over the summer and just picked the grapes yesterday from it. So there will now be a "One Acre " Zin in addition to the Cabernets. We actually did some video yesterday as we were picking, so maybe after we get that finished we will get back up to shot some video on how Yountville is doing. Thanks again Dave
