To give you some background about this song, Riyoko composed it in early January 2024, she was numb inside from the negative news cycle and wars going on in the world. One day in that state of mind she came to the window, opened the curtains, and these melodies came to her mind and this song was born. She's a classically trained prodigy and has been playing piano since age 4 and for well over 3 decades, latter 2 of which she dedicated to Jazz. She's renowned for her musicality, deep harmonic understanding, live performances full of energy with fluent improvisations, and delicate touch on the keys. Together with her talent and charming character she continues to proliferate Jazz and attract many fans from all over the world. Riyoko doesn't really make short clips of her music and a lot of her music and performances are missing from her own channel due to Japanese copyright laws, where venues own all the rights to recordings on their premises. @ Hmmm, I knew it sounded a little familiar!! Because I heard it 6 months ago and again now. Love them both , but the one from 6 months ago a tad bit more !! I reread my comment from that !! ❤️❤️❤️ What a beautiful melody. I’m afraid now I may accidentally play part of it in an improv. Currently the melody is stuck in my head. I am at my apartment and I don’t have a piano here !! I want to play it the way I translate it !! Can’t wait to move !!!

​@@PianoImprovVlogger Yea that one from half a year ago was recorded shortly after it was written, so I'd say it's more genuine. This version starts more delicate but gets more intense later on, it's an evolved performance version and it's also in a trio. Go ahead I'd love to hear a take in your style!

This is ridiculous. This video now has 25 thumbs up and 2 thumbs down, making it one of the worst performers on this channel. What gives?! It's such a wonderful original appreciated by many people I know. Must have come across some really low hanging fruit.
