I remember when one dallas center was office space, only and Trammel Crow company was the owner. Probably before you were born even.

Nice fact this is one of the few buildings with existing and functional access to the Dallas underground tunnel network. You can easily get to the food court at 1700 pacific, Comerica tower, Gables republic, Thanksgiving Square and even Plaza of the Americas without ever going into the heat or cold. One thing to note, there is a homeless element at the ground level because of a train stop just outside. (I live in Santander Tower but worked in Dallas One for several months, used the tunnels each day)

@@15MinDallas OUTSTANDING video man. Those tunnels and sky bridges were my stomping ground for almost three decades. Do you remember the convoluted but workable pedway from One Dallas Center to Plaza of the Americas?

I really enjoy watching your office-to-housing videos. Downtown Dallas was my stomping ground for almost three decades and had an office in RepublicBank Centre. Great employee cafeteria! Politicians in New York City promise that this type of conversion is the answer to the housing crisis there, but they never mention the cost! Would love to see a behind-the-scenes video of the actual conversion such as plumbing and electricity!

Why not mention the building was designed by I.M. Pei, a world renowned architect...because you're only covering the renovated residential portion? Also, I believe the completion date was 1979.

@ 9:02 is the old Southland Life Building now Sheraton Hotel. I went on the roof there in 1978 where they had a lounge with escalators that took you up to the outside observation deck. This One Dallas Center really has nice small reasonably priced apartments.... Ill have to review the Google reviews to get the full picture but it looks nice so far... (Edit to add) the google reviews indicate the management staff is servery lacking, constant issues with the elevators out of service, loud neighbors, a strong constant smell of pot, poor visitor parking situation and rude security guard. I guess with the lower prices it attracts a lower class of individual who are often loud, disrespectful and enjoy smoking pot. The views and actual apartments are nice... guess there is always a trade off...
