A SenrYou thought created by Christopher Holbrook from Nottingham, England. I wonder how many of us have though the same on our travels?
SenrYou is a cultural project which encourages anybody to write down a thought but in a structured format loosely based on the ancient and original Japanese Haiku.
The structure insists on each SenrYou consisting of just 17 syllables with 5 on the first line, seven on the second line and 5 syllables on the 3rd line. so 17 in total.
You can write about anything, it can rhyme or not rhyme - it's up to you. It might make sense to people or it may not. So long as it makes sense to you and at least touches the reader or viewer - however ephemeral that may be.
So go ahead, start to create your own SenrYou and send your submissions to us by email to entry@senryou.org
All you need is a pen or a pencil, a scrap of paper and your fertile imagination.
