One day in Arkhangelsk

Arkhangelsk, also known in English as Archangel and Archangelsk, is a city and the administrative center of Arkhangelsk Oblast, Russia.
It lies on both banks of the Northern Dvina near its mouth into the White Sea. The city spreads for over 40 kilometers along the banks of the river and numerous islands of its delta.
Arkhangelsk was the chief seaport of medieval and early modern Russia until 1703 when it was replaced by the newly-founded Saint Petersburg.
A 1,133-kilometer-long railway runs from Arkhangelsk to Moscow via Vologda and Yaroslavl, and air travel is served by the Talagi Airport and the smaller Vaskovo Airport. As of the 2021 Census, the city's population was 301,199.

Потрясающий город Архангельск и вся АРХАНГЕЛЬСКАЯ ОБЛАСТЬ. Особенно природа, реки озёра и леса. Даже пещеры есть довольно древние в Голубино, и белое море примерно в 50-ти километрах от самого города Архангельска... И люди в поморье добрые)))

Ich hatte als Kind mehrere Brieffreunde in Archangelsk. Es war sehr interessant . Leider hatten man damals noch nicht diese Möglichkeiten per Video eine Stadt kennenzulernen. Aber wir haben uns ua auch viele Fotos geschickt. Danke für das Video.

@@KajtisProto Schreibt sie ( Ihre Mutter) sich nicht mehr mit ihr ? Mein Kontakt mit den Brieffreunden aus Archangelsk ist irgendwann leider auch eingeschlafen. Jedoch bekam ich dann später eine lange Brieffreundschaft mit einer Frau aus Lugansk. Sie hatte eine Tochter in dem Alter meines Sohnes. Leider ist die Mutter schon in den 90-zigern gestorben. Aber sodann entwickelte sich eine Brieffreundschaft mit der Tochter. Diese lebt jetzt mit ihrem Mann und Sohn in der Nähe von Prag ... Und wir haben uns schon mehrmals getroffen ... Nach ihrem Studium in Lwow ( Lemberg) sind sie beruflich schon Anfang der 90-ziger nach CZ gegangen, wo sie seitdem leben.
