1:43 Nope, the Royal family doesn't actually live there anymore. They moved to Drottningholm Castle in 1981. It's about 10 km west of Stockholm city. It's well worth a visit, in the summer, one can take a ferry there, which is the nicest way to get there, or go by subway and bus, which is a bit cheaper. There is a really beautiful park, and a very nice location by the water. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The castle theatre, built in the 1760s, is still in use, and it's stunning. The Royal castle is just the work place for the Royal family nowadays. The Crown Princess and her family live in another castle, Haga slott, which is about 5 km north of Stockholm city. That's where the King grew up.

Yes. Everybody knows they don't actually live there. but it's the official address ot Swedish Crown, and the Headquarters of the Swedish royals. Drottningholm is meant to be a secret residence. ;)

You really should spend more time in Stockholm. In Djurgården alone can take a day to cover. Along Abba museum there are four other museums to cover swedish Culture and history with old buildings, and a warship from 1600's... And Zoo and amusement park...

By "Gustav III opposed this" (proto-democracy) he launched a false flag attack on Helsinki to start a war with Russia and used that as an excuse for a military coup.
