Why people hate him is never explained? 1. In order to gain the position he had to commit regicide, which also happened to be patricide. 2. The aristocracy hates him because he stripped them of rank. 3. Even though he got rid of the aristocracy he maintained the title "Emperor," thus angering the peasantry. 4. He forced millions to do his bidding. 5. He claimed that he wanted to join the U.F.N. but then he took all of the members hostage. 6. He held the world for ransom with WMDs.

I saw this at Katsucon, and I think it's awesome! 'One Day More' is one of my favorite parts of Les Mis, and I love that you used the TAC version with applause at the end ;). I also didn't realize Lelouch shared his name with the director of the film version of the story until you pointed it out. So, thanks for making this, and thanks for sharing! The characters fit the roles you gave them quite well. Even the Thenardiers, as Lloyd and Cecile turned out to switch sides pragmatically.

The show ends with him being killed in a plot by both of them where he was the most hated person in the world (though "why" people hate him is never explained) after taking over the world and becoming it's dictator, and using his death as a force to unite the people of the world and bring peace (though in reality the moment he died a dozen wars starting would be an opptomistic number, especially given the hate people from around the world would feel for eachother given the events of the show).

First thing first, bless you for using Colm Wilkinson and the Ensemble for the 10th Anniversary. Secondly this is excelent characterized, plus the moving screens with more distant background singing gives a flow of depth I rarely seen in any AMV's done, and for this kind of singing it just fits perfectly. I think this can easily merit a 2nd place if not a 1st place for AnimeNEXT. My compliments and favorite button click.

@!dave199410001 This is kind of necroing a comment, but the way I understood it, the idea was for Lelouch create a "war to end all wars". Try to create an example illustrated "divided we fall, united we survive", trying to get all of the nations/factions to work together to make sure they never end up in the same predicament. A whole lot of crap (the Britannian capital was nuked for crying out loud) went on in the final few episodes, and they choose to not flesh it out. Probably partially for budget purposes/open door for more content production (without ever having to absolutely define Lelouch's status); but, more likely as an artistic move like the kind of stuff you see in non-visual storytelling. Let the fans draw up their own theories.
