You should definitely listen to Louis Tomlinson's two of us, it is for his mum who passed away from cancer. His father left him before he was born so it was just him and his mother for a long time. It is a beautiful tribute. All the boys are amazing musicians. Each one had a unique voice and different set of talents. Harry has more of 70s, 80s vibe heavily influenced by Mick jagger, Freddie Mercury, Fleetwood Mac. Louis is more of Brit pop, indie rock. Inflected by Green day, Oasis, Artic monkeys. Zayn is the RnB King. Liam took the Justin Timberlake route but still finding his ground. Niall is soft pop, folk pop. He likes the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac. Louis and Liam are a bit underrated but both of them have amazing music. Louis wrote the most songs in the band out of the boys.

Zayn preformed live all the time during 1D but only about 4 times when he went solo before his anxiety got the better of him and he hasn’t preformed since 😢. He was planning on touring for both his albums but couldn’t do it both times.

You must never fake a 1D reaction and you won't have to. They always surprise first time listeners, as in they are surprised how they sound and that they like it! 1D is NOT like any boyband before them. Basically that is what the skit means, they won't dress like your typical boyband and they won't dance period. The "dance" in this MV is the type of silly dance they'd do. And they had that skit in the beginning because it was used as promo for their movie This is us (2013), so the footage is from the movie and yes, those crowds are from their concerts. They always use humor and FUN in their music videos. They don't take themselves too seriously. You should check out this song from their film concert DVD from. San Siro 2014. Such a great live song and the energy from the crowd is simply the best. Forgot to say but Louis is my fav. I always go for the underdog. (he had the least solos in the band and he doesn't have the vocal range as the others but I love his tone of voice and that's all I need) They are all amazingly talented and all have different voices that mesh together beautifully. I love them all.

Liam beat box, Simon Cowell lucked out with One Direction when they were put together from eliminated soloist on 2010 X Factor to the massively successful One Direction, probably the biggest group in the world between 2013-2015. All 5 very talented individuals. All 5 have done well has solo artist which is unusual coming from a boyband

I love this reaction!! My brother introduced me to Harry Styles FineLine album at the beginning of this year and I was blown away! I was then introduced to Niall Louis Zayn and Liam and wow! I’m really enjoying there solo and 1D music!! You absolutely MUST watch the "One Direction - Where We Are Tour 2014" to get a better impression of why we so love these guys, and are waiting so impatiently for July 23rd! It's an hour and 46 minutes, but well worth your time. If you want more after watching it, there's "This Is Us" on Prime Video that will give you more of how the band formed. They have all type of different sounds when it comes to their music. You and I is a slower song. Really looking forward to the highnote reaction in that one. Night changes has a beautiful video concept. What makes you beautiful is their first mv. Live while We're young is that fast pace, catchy beat song.

Niall as in Nigh ul ... Louis is correct...Zayn Malik as in Mal ick... The Best Song Ever video was basically them looking at how management/label wanted them to be...and it wasn't what they wanted to be...each member of the band is portrayed by one of the characters in the clip...some are obvious (Like Harry and Liam) Zayn is the girl... he really is beautiful :)

"This is Us" was a (documentary) movie they had in the theater. In the 'Best Song Ever' video you can see Niall putting the DVD in the player. The BSE video was what got me into 1D. I saw them on the VMA's, they were winning an award for BSE for summer video of the year and they got booed. I wondered what the song was so I checked out the video....never looked back.

Niall is the blonde one, the one you thought was Niall is Liam, and the last one you guessed was Louis is actually Louis. Zayn is the one hitting the high notes, although when he left Liam took them over and Harry had some good high notes too. This is us is a documntary about them, yeah. I'm kind of glad you decided to chk them out Andrew - I really like their more rocky tracks like Midnight Memories but considering they were between 16-19 when they were put together, I think they developed really well over the 5 or so years they were together. They definitely got better once they were allowed to write their own songs. You can see it clearly as their videos get so much better from the 2nd year in. 10 years this year and they've all put out some really good solo stuff that you can hit next !!

Also, I think as a 1D newbie I'd recomend to ttart with songs from their 3 latter albums. Zayn left before their last album though. Their sound became more rockier with the album Midnight Memories because that is where they became co-writers to their songs and could influence the sound themselves which they couldn't at first. My first 1D song was Story of my life so it will always be my first recomendation. MV is also amazing.

I got to know One Direction after I "discovered " Harry. He got me into 1D's music. I like them all, but Harry remained my absolute favorite, even after following up their solo careers. In fact, I prefer the band's music over everyone else's solo stuff except Harry's. My rank is 1. Harry 2. 1D 3. Niall 4. Louis 5. Zayn 6. Liam (I don't like R&B, Hip-hop, rap. And Zayn and Liam mainly do songs in these genres) But as a band they were super, regret that only followed them up after they went solo. I knew about them for a long time, mainly from the media, but I didn't care to listen to them. The boy band stigma stepped between "us". Luckily they didn't disappear after the split (I know the "h" word, and I know I will be corrected by teenage directioners). No matter how we call it, they are not a band anymore. Maybe they will do sg for the 10-years anniversary, but I would not be surprised if they would not. Maybe just because the pandemic prevented them to tour with their newest solo albums, and they have some unexpected spare time. I think it's very unlikely they will reunite, write new albums together and go tour again. At least not in the forseeable future. They had a wonderful time together, basically grew up together like brothers. You're going to see it if you'll check out more from their music videos, concerts, and especially behind the scenes footages and interviews. But all of them are very different personalities, their musical genres are pretty different, too. They all have wonderful and unique voices, all write or at least co-write their own albums, all play (multiple) instruments by now. But the sound and concept are different all cases. Check out more songs/mvs. There were a couple of good songs (and insanely good harmonies) already on the first two albums. But their musical tastes and personalities started to shine through from album no.3 "Midnight memories". Then "Four "and "Made in the a.m." further raised the bar. They were good. They are good :) All of them are genuinely nice guys, down to earth people. Pretty clever and funny. And never behaved like celebrities. Despite their huge success, they are remained normal. (they have a song called "Don't forget where you belong") I think that is one of the reasons this 5-year-non-existing band still have a strong fanbase. And earning new fans every day :)

Actually 1D were not 'a Boy Band' - they are their own category, frankly. And as soon as they began writing their own songs more, their sound was not pop but more punk/rock/pop, as you will find.
