This is Harry’s materpiece!! I love the songs he wrote for the band so much because they all have such a creative lyrics and production. And we can see that with WDBHG, Walking In the Wind and Olivia, too. That’s why Harry’s writing is so uniqe and different. The amount of the songs he wrote for the band might be less comparing to others but quality> quantity and thats exactly what Harrys songs have and thats why they are superior for me. He deserves so much more credit for his songwriting and the songs he wrote for the band

Please please please do Liam’s EP, it’s his best work and people don’t really talk about it and it’s sad. It’s only 4 songs but they’re really good! Definitely not as pop but still have that element. Stockholm Syndrome is when you start to feel sympathy for your kidnapper. It was coined from a case that happened in Sweden back in the 70s where a bank robber(s) took people hostage in a bank for about a week or so and the hostages developed a relationship and sympathy for their kidnapper. The song seems to be more about a toxic relationship where your feelings are so strong for the person it's like you're being held captive by them and you can't get away.

Harry writing these used the Stockholm Syndrome (falling for someone that kidnapped you) as a metaphor for toxic relationship. BUT FUN FACT: some of the others said that he wrote it with this metaphor not for the syndrome itself but for the city it takes the name from. Apparently when they've been to Stockholm, Harry felt so in love with the city that when he found out about the syndrome he HAD to write a song about it

Stockholm Syndrome: It's not exactly 'common', but a lot of hostages do form a sense of dependancy on their captors. In most cases their captor is feeding them, providing shelter, and 'taking care' of them, so it's not that big of a stretch for the victim to feel secure around their captor. Which then translates into care, affection, and eventually love. The term Stockholm Syndrome actually comes from the very first case recorded of it, it took place in Stockholm Sweden where a girl was kidnapped and held for ransom, but she ended up falling in love with her captor and turning on her family. She helped him swindle all of her families money and completely bankrupt them only to run away with him in the end.
